Thats been the issue when he is out. We just chuck 3s and many contested. No aggressiveness to establish any offense in the paint or otherwise. But then again, maybe just not enough talent to do so.
Burks being complete shit hasnt helped as he is the one guy who can be an ISO threat or attack the paint.
If DDV hits his threes, we win this game. He had an off night which is something we simply couldn't afford when we're so short handed. Hope he gets his shot back quickly...we need it desperately.

With whom? Shake? We have no bench. McBride used to be the garbage minutes player off the bench- he is now starting.

He can hit a high percentage on kickouts from Randle - but lately he is taking 15-20 3's a game and they aren't all good looks.

I don’t care how short handed we are, this isn’t game 6/7 of a playoff game. No one in the league does this to there players. 2 nights ago we are playing Brunson 40 minutes and we can’t spell some extra time to for McBride then?!
Thibs confused me w/ sticking w/ Bogs in 4th over Achiuwa. Bogs not hitting makes him essentially useless on the floor since he can't pass or defend.

Because he wants them to be tired forever. He assumes players come back and everything is fixed. Can't even test out Shake or God forbid give Jacob some run. WTF does Sims offer this team offensively? He sure wasn't in there for defense, so if he doesn't score and doesn't defend, hurray for his 9 rebounds on mostly missed team 3 pt shots. 1/2 game out of the play-in over the recently 8-2 Heat, great job coach.
Sure, Deuce got quality NBA minutes, what good will they be if the coach cuts him out of the rotation in the playoffs if all our starters return? Ihart/Mitch, JR/Precious, OG/Bojan, DDV/Hart, JB. Maybe Bojan drops out and Deuce is the back-up PG, but doubt that. That is 9 and I'd be shocked if he roles 9 deep, though he should. So, Deuce & Burks are on the outside looking in. Barring injury, fingers crossed, Shake might not see a minute other than junk time, if we ever have those again.
Orlando recently 8-2 next, I wonder how that game will turn out? Pathetic game plan, short-handed or not. A great coach adjusts, 16-52 3 pt shots is on Thibs, make them shoot higher % shots with an offensive plan. Sims has to stop leaving his man to double, usually leads to a dunk on the player he was guarding. Here come the Thibs worshipers.

Spent the last 15 minutes of this game asking/screaming/crying where the F is Precious???
Burks is unwatchable—- soft as a babies behind.
Donte was BRUTAL —- particularly with the sloppy ball handling and out of control drives.
Being short handed doesn’t equal play dumb and out of control.
Thibs rotations killed me and once again Sims late to about 10 blocked shots at the rim while Precious gets splinters.
Game in balance - tied - late 3rd or early 4th and Hawks back-up PG puts up a +14 in 11 minutes.
Still can’t get over Precious going 7-8, driving with tenacity, big block at rim, +3 and Thuns gives him 24 minutes and basically benches him most of 2nd half.
I don't recall anyone saying definitely beat the Hawks, I personally said the Hawks lost 2 str8 to the Nets and we were favored. Also, this game was winnable, but not a sure thing. Lose by 5 that is one thing, lose by 16 when you are down 18 in the first, that is a problem. Same record playing the same music as the other loss to GS. Outscored GS 3 pts and ATL 2 pts, 2nd-4th quarter, but lost it in the 1st. Tied for 2nd most missed 3s I believe they said in Knicks history. Losing winnable games like this one, might show heart, but nothing to have kudos over.
Precious balled out, Kudos to him. Hart did what he could with everyone else on the team chucking 3s. McB played fine given his heavy minute load. DDV gassed, iHart probably still hurt. Most of the rest were trash. Only the Wizards & Pistons are worse in the East over the last 10 games.

Its the NBA. Even the worst teams beat good ones on some nights. We are a shell of our former selves and Cavs game might have been an anomaly.
I know some don't trust Thibs. He thinks Charlie Brown and Toppin won't help get wins. Shake had just signed his contract and was not ready to play? And Precious we don't know why he played just 24 minutes.
Thibs lost his locker room? Or just a few fans that have it in for him?
No team in the NBA can expect to win any game with 4 starters out and possibly the less talented still remaining. If it happened to Boston (arguably the most dominant team in the nba this year), their starting 5 would be D. White, Pritchard, Hauser, Horford, Kornet with each of them playing 38 min. They wouldn't win many games as well. Our only change is to get healthy players back.
Proud of the fight and effort but one of those games where we just couldn't buy a basket. Which happens! I'm more disappointed in the rebounding. That's our bread and butter and the Hawks just killed us on the glass. Give Jalen Johnson credit. He was outstanding. Looked like an All-Star. And Murray just took over in the last few minutes. I know they say the Hawks were asking for too much at the trade deadline but how nice it would be to have him on the roster right now instead of that bum Burks?
I tried to be patient with Burks as I know it takes some time to get adjusted to a new team, even though Burks knows Thibs and the system. Time is up! He's AWFUL! How do you take 14 shots in 12 minutes when you're shooting 32% from the field and UNDER 30% from three!! He's been Ntikilina level bad!
On the other side, very impressed by the development of Deuce. You can tell he's getting more comfortable and confident playing the one. Didn't shoot well, nobody did, but had some nice moments including that sick drive and dunk blowing past Murray. Injuries suck and we're suffering for them but the bright side is these games are huge for Deuce. You can put Achiuwa in that convo as well. He kept us in the game in the first game. Looked like Randle on some of those bully ball drives. Bad decision by Thibs not to play him in the 4th over Bogey. I get we were down and needed scoring and shooting but Bogey didn't have it and was getting torched all game by Johnson.
Four starters out so it's unfair to get too upset. We're fighting but just do not have enough. We're dropping in the standings and the way it looks right now, we'll likely be in the play-in tournament unless Brunson, Randle and OGA come back and hit the ground running which is unlikely.
