Achiuwa has been awesome and his role as a switchable backup 4 should be solidified. He can definitely play a few center minutes although he’s undersized there. Ironically he’s been best in the poor man’s OG role.

He defends, rebounds and blocks shots - he’ll play more than Obi……IMO

Incredible a guy with that cred coming up gets to the NBA and becomes offensively avg.
That his true path to staying in the league is as a player that does so many things other than scoring.
It might not be the path to his succeed in his dreams but its a damn fine wage and sticking in the league is so damn hard.
We slam guys like RJ and as he was picked third for being a disappointment but how really hard it is to get a to where he is today. A dude making 25mil a year and putting up numbers!

Now he here and a knick we all about him and his story. Good dude I hope succeeds here or elsewhere.
His trajectory in Toronto was not going so great but due to injuries and not fighting the coaches he'll get paid here or elsewhere. How much? Who knows but he is playing up as a knick and when you do it the "Thibian" way, you get paid!

It’s the truth.

Most all of these guys are blessed and very very very elite athletes.

Yes, because there will always be someone injured in the front court. Mitch only plays 50-75% of the season. OG gets injuries, and Randle gets dinged up too. iHart has been an iron man, but it's starting to take a toll. Thibs loves big players, and P.A. will get time.

Was talking about minutes when they're both healthy at the same time. Im hoping the fact that Precious is playing like one of the better backup PFs in the league, will encourage Thibs to give more PT than he gave Obi.

How about this? Is it possible that at the end of a tight game Randle gets subbed out for PA on the defensive end?
Will PA push Randle defensively?

Thats a great question. I would also add in crunch time offense as well. I get the feeling that with all the offensive firepower we have now, that Randle wont feel the weight of winning the game in the final seconds like he used to. Was starting to look that way before he got hurt.

If Randle is having trouble closing on either end of the court. Like you said, PA is playing well enough to remind Jules that Obi is gone, and Precious has shown he can handle more minutes. Thibs is a fan.

If Jules is feeling it he plays. If Jules is gassed and Thibs needs defense on a particular player one might see it.
Its about this season then yes. OG sill might be the better defender?

Say its Boston, game tied. 10 seconds left? Ihart on KP, OG on Tatum, Josh on Brown..........Maybe not Precious?
Knicks get rebound, 3 seconds left?

iHart, OG, Bogs, DDV, Brunson........
If Randle is hitting, he in for OG for last shot.

YES, all of this.

This is why I don't put too much weight to the rotation and Thib's minutes rotation and how many guys can and will likely play. There no doubt will be some of that and you just can't satisfy every guy who may deserve minutes. But really, who cares about that.

It now becomes something about having the extra types of guys you can use in certain match-ups during the playoffs, cause that's what it's always about during the playoffs. And the Knicks have extra weapons and extra fouls and extra insurance.

And they've needed it.

Nalod @ 3/12/2024 4:53 PM
Lets not forget Deuce on the Defense......

And Thibs will do shit illogical based on what he thinks is going on in the game. If it works, its great.
if not, he'll get labeled as inflexible and questioned by fans who "Know Better".

Not me. I'll cry and
