I don’t quite understand this either unless it’s related to a 3 way tie scenario that bumps us to 4th.
That must be the situation where if the Bucks and Knicks lose the last game and the Cavs win they are all 49-33 and I guess the Knicks drop to 4th?
But Bucks, NY, & Cavs can all tie the last game.

Good win, got no help from other teams. PHI and IND have easy Ws on deck and ORL plays MIL which makes my head spin with implications. My gut tells me those 3 finish in a 3 way tie and MIL loses without Lillard or Giannis playing.
If Philly finishes 6th with a win and Orlando beating Milwaukee, then.lets get the 2 seed.
But then why does Philly finish ahead of Indiana in that scenario?
See you after the trade!

Philly owns tiebreaker against ORL with win tonight and they currently in 6th with a 3 way tie. I don’t think they own H2H tiebreaker with Indy. So if all 3 win OR PHI and ORL both win then PHI lands 6.
Wonder if MIL continues to tank into playoffs. ORL gonna be desperate to get out of playin. I think those 5-7 teams remain tied and therefore I think Knicks need to go win the next game and go for 2nd. Good chance MIL loses.
I swear NBA.com had Philly in 6th a few mins ago… I’m officially lost but disregard my last two posts.

Interesting - that could be what happens.
And then Indy is in the play in?
Duncan Robinson is hurt right now. The Hest are lacking 3 pt shooters. This isnt facing Duncan Strus and Vincent like last year

Having an all-time Knicks season. Many of us just wanted a competent point guard and we got this. I'm glad my liver and lungs are chugging along to give me the time to witness this. Magical. 🥲

Forget everything I said … PHI is currently 7th in the 3 way tie
So i have to say the most likely scenario is Knicks finish 2 play the Sixers or Heat rd 1. Ugh.
Knicks beat Bulls
Orlando beats Bucks sans Giannis (and Dame?)
Indy Beats Hawks
Sixers beat Brooklyn
Cavs beat Hornets
Then Knicks are 2 and Philly is 7 and Miami 8 so we play the winner.

It doesn't matter who we play. The Knicks have higher goals than two middling, injury ridden teams.
