The announcers were pro Philly the whole game. In the first quarter when -I think-Brunson got fouled and the announcer said he only saw "marginal contact" I knew what we were in for.

Jefferson and Ruocco are just really bad. They are like the D team.

The starting lineup has gotten exposed every game so far. They just don’t match well 5v5 against this team. Not sure if the move is to change it or not because next series could be completely different.

DDV had a great year but I'm not convinced he's a starting 2 guard on a contender. His shot diet shrinks against tight defenses and on defense you cant get away with all the gambling he does during the season anymore.

Its not me hating but I just feel he's better suited in a 26mpg type role and off the bench.

Deuce has been better on both ends.

I mean KCP started on a title team last year. DDV is a good fit there especially with Randle. He will have his time and next round is gonna be much more offensive-focused series.

DDV’s back to back 3s were huge and has the signature shot of the series. I’m not going beyond our starting 5 not matching up well with theirs in this series.

i really think we are a title contender this season even without Randle.

but if there's one position we could upgrade this summer its the starting 2.

KCP is just a bigger, stronger defender. he's always been a 30+mpg guy. DDV will have his moments for sure, he already has in G2! but on a game to game basis can he defend well enough? b/c if the 3 isn't falling or if he's struggling to get them off his value is really limited.

It’s all matchups, most of the time Hart and OG are gonna take the tougher assignments anyway.

martin @ 4/28/2024 4:54 PM
No Randle. No Mitch. Bogey is a scratch after a minute. iHart imitates rookie-year Mitch on D in the 3rd and sits himself.

That’s 4 main rotation guys not available in the 4th against an MVP caliber dude who gets an HOF level whistle.

And Maxey has been breathtaking.

Nick Nurse down to Lowry architecting fouls and the refs helping them out.

This team is showing out, up and down the bench and including staff.

nycericanguy @ 4/28/2024 4:56 PM
I low key said we might be better without Randle and I'm not seeing anything to disprove it yet.

Our defense, spacing, shooting, passing and general IQ goes up without Randle.

if we can find a stud SF or PF, OG can play with either.

I think Julius is fine. We need a SG to complete it

yea he's fine, just felt getting back OG and Mitch was more important and still do. we can win with those 2 back, but if it was Randle and no OG/Mitch I wouldn't feel the same.

This was an all time win, more effort, more heart and more toughness carried it home.

Difference between the real MVP and Embiid.

Precious has been a monster, still not sure why Thibs left him out of the rotation. Great 1-2 bunch with him and OG defending him tonight!

Hats off to the guys. Lowry and Embiid shameful foul hunting. Great to see Embiid miss the big shot when it matters. Toughest most resilient team we have ever had.

Rethink games 1&2 and how Brunson played. And then overall when the Knicks struggle.

You need another guy who can take over offense or that has gravity. This leads to everyone being better.

This series is a cakewalk with Randle at full speed and that’s the difference.

The stretch of full health with Randle after OG trade disproves it IMO.

It’s the difference between squeaking and clawing wins and January busting Philly Denver Heat ass by 20+ points.

we def need another scorer long term, but it doesn't have to be Randle.

I think winning G1 and 2 without Randle and with brunson struggling only proves how good our role players are and how much they are all on the same page.

Does Randle step up in those games? and if he doesnt does he still get back on D and hustle? thats the bigger issue. We are winning with a team full of grit and hustle. Harts, OG's, Duece, we NEVER see those guys take plays off. Sorry but I've seen Randle do it a ton even in the playoffs when he gets frustrated.

You have forgotten about Prime Randle.

He ain’t all NBA by mistake

Are you sure we dont have that same dominant stretch if Randle was out then too? that was the cupcake part of our schedule. and I mean weren't they like 6-1 with OG and no Randle?

May have been best Knick game I’ve ever watched - what a team effort.

- Jalen = Black Jesus
- OG and Precious to the rescue —- BOTH SO BIG TODAY!
- DEUCE
- Donte big shots late
— Josh —- WHAT A GAMER

DUD - I-Hart - not sure what he was doing/thinking today but hope bounce back

Heady Villanova basketball. :) Glad we have 3 of them.

The Philly fans can't help but cheer for us. :)

Great win. The refs didn't really allow it to get close. The refs reward teams that make plays and shots.

That Embiid open jumper... even after that, he should have taken it to the rack and thrown it down... instead he did the finesse thing.

I love it. Up 3-1. I can't stand Embiid.

(But... hey, Maxey, I'm going after you on next year's fantasy teams!)

I never disliked Embid thought he was a good guy. This series presented a bad side to him. Team can't win with Embid as the number 1. He chokes and blames injury for it.

He is a massive douche IMO

Alpha1971 @ 4/28/2024 5:05 PM
Instead of talking about who we should get this off season why not enjoy this win ?? Be in the moment.
nycericanguy @ 4/28/2024 5:05 PM
anyway dont want to make this about Randle, my point was I think alot of peoeple worry about our cap in 2 years when Randle is due a new contract, but im not so sure we cant just move on at that point if he doesnt take a good deal.

Knicks are in a great spot with Brunson being 27 and OG being 26. Kudos to the FO... that Deuce contract is huge too.

we may not need that ALL IN trade

im traumatized and its so hard to admit we may just have all the pieces already but this team can beat anyone.

Not just wins but blowing teams out of the water including heavy double digit wins vs Minnesota, Denver Philly. Knicks without Randle never hit that gear that they hit with Randle.

This is a completely stupid talking point to bring into this thread right now though
