Great win. The refs didn't really allow it to get close. The refs reward teams that make plays and shots.
That Embiid open jumper... even after that, he should have taken it to the rack and thrown it down... instead he did the finesse thing.

I never disliked Embid thought he was a good guy. This series presented a bad side to him. Team can't win with Embid as the number 1. He chokes and blames injury for it.

The announcers were pro Philly the whole game. In the first quarter when -I think-Brunson got fouled and the announcer said he only saw "marginal contact" I knew what we were in for.

I mean KCP started on a title team last year. DDV is a good fit there especially with Randle. He will have his time and next round is gonna be much more offensive-focused series.
DDV’s back to back 3s were huge and has the signature shot of the series. I’m not going beyond our starting 5 not matching up well with theirs in this series.

i really think we are a title contender this season even without Randle.
but if there's one position we could upgrade this summer its the starting 2.
KCP is just a bigger, stronger defender. he's always been a 30+mpg guy. DDV will have his moments for sure, he already has in G2! but on a game to game basis can he defend well enough? b/c if the 3 isn't falling or if he's struggling to get them off his value is really limited.

Philly up 12 and clowning in the 1st Q is such a distant memory. What a statement game for Brunson. Deuce is the new fan fave crowd pleaser post Obi. His threes really jumpstarted the offense and that dirty elbow from Embid on Brunson turned Brunson into a flamethrower.
If Randle was around, they wouldn't be able to this against DDV. So, not all his fault. But has to be involved in other ways like Hart or 2nd unit it is. I would start Precious next game and give DDV a short leash to start.

And OG guarding Embiid, I'm not gonna pretend to know more than Thibs but I've been calling for that all series. OG on Embiid and Deuce on Maxey. OG gave him a lot of problems. Ihart just cant guard him without fouling. Even Precious did a better job, I think we need to have quicker guys on Embiid not bigger guys. Quicker defenders force him to make quicker moves, where as against IHart and Mitch he just takes his time, foul baits, and pounds them in the paint.
