Indelible moments for knick fans! A great win.
So much to enjoy! The Duece chants and even ESPN panning to knick fans!
Good times.

As for Precious, his hands were awful. He looked bad at times. IN Thibs defense, I don't go to him unless I Have to.
He had to.
Precious stepped up when we needed it. He shines on defense and the rebounds. Lets not blast iHart too much,, he wore out Embiid and got his ready to be served up to OG.

Knicks with healthy Randle and Mitch would be true contenders. They were magical in the January.
But he not here.
Its all working in the here and now. Yes, enjoy it guys. This is a tough series.

Credit This for changing up the defensive game plan by more aggressively doubling Embiid after the catch and then credit the team for executing and almost immediately recovering once Embiid passed out. It was pretty amazing to see the Knicks double and recover by the time the pass arrived at the open guy. Great plan, great execution.

This is a seriously deep Knicks team. It's like a player is forced to leave the game due to foul trouble or injury, and the Knicks just get even better. That's gotta piss off the Sixers.

Our two 7 ft centers were out of the game against a taller team with their MVP-level center - no prob, we proceed to out-hustle and out-rebound them the rest of the way.

The brand of defense this team plays is really different from the Patrick Ewing Knicks - those Knicks dominated with size, muscle, and toughness. These Knicks are so quick - we're a little undersized but we have tough guys that play larger than their heights.

Modern 90’s defense.

Knicks did it, and Brunson isn’t a weak link IMHO, not stout but not weak link either.

And it’ll be even badder next year

I can only watch him one, maybe two times a week, and I spent that coin on the video where tears dic a new one.

gradyandrew wrote:Kind of crazy the cheers the Knicks were getting during the game. I was surprised the announcers didn't make a bigger deal about it. Brunson had multiple MVP chants throughout the game. Knicks were able to feed off the crowd.

The announcers were pro Philly the whole game. In the first quarter when -I think-Brunson got fouled and the announcer said he only saw "marginal contact" I knew what we were in for.

that was nuts... i agree.

and that old lady in the front rows was so tacky and annoying. glad we shut her up.

Caught the line as "Sarcasm".
Im not a Richard Jeff fan but he called it pretty good for both teams. They called out the dirty stuff.

Knicks wore out the 76ers. Plain and simple. Philly was exhausted and knicks were sharper. Im going to guess that was part of the plan. I said this morning "Rope-a-dope".

Knicks did go into Embiid and he was effective, but he wore out.
Philly got fatigued and you make mistakes when that happens. Don't discount that.
DDV did not have it tonite and Deuces defense on Maxy was excellent.
Maxy got the looks but got tired.

Credit all the Knicks thru 4 quarters and a game plan that worked.

Maybe towards the end. At the beginning, the "marginal contact" line and the "50/50 call" lines were meant to tweak knicks fans. I didn't know it was Jefferson so I am speaking from a real 3rd party perspective on just listening to the announcers.

WOW - I would not have thought that.

For me it’s incredible the refs continue to give him the arm swing/hold fouls and also giving him 2 shots.

He’s a guy I wouldn’t want to watch on Knicks - say that with all sincerity.

I-Hart has been great all year but stinky past few games.

With Precious, OG, Josh, Deuce we have 4 outstanding defenders on a string and moving feet bodies with Jalen lurking to draw charges.

I just think IHart vs Embiid is a bad matchup. Next round vs. Turner or Lopez will be fine.

If Randle had gotten surgery the day after the injury, would he be ready to come back now?

Participating in sports
Individuals who play sports should consult their physician about clearance to return to play. Activities such as golf or swimming may be approved after about 6 weeks, but high-impact sports that can affect the shoulder, such as football or volleyball, will require several months of rehabilitation before individuals can resume playing.

Full recovery for shoulder strength and activity may take up to a year, but most patients who follow their rehabilitation plan and protect the shoulder can anticipate a full return to pre-injury activity.

gradyandrew @ 4/29/2024 12:17 AM
Lu et al. performed a somewhat similar study comparing return to play in NBA athletes suffering an instability event. Fifty NBA athletes were evaluated for injuries sustained from 1999 to 2018. In those treated nonoperatively, athletes who sustained shoulder subluxations returned after an average of 3.6 weeks, compared with 7.6 weeks in those who sustained a shoulder dislocation . Players who underwent operative management returned after an average of 19 weeks. Athletes treated operatively were found to have a longer time interval between a recurrent instability event (70 weeks vs. 28.5 weeks) .

I cannot imagine how proud Rick Brunson must be of seeing his son becoming a Knicks legend in front of his eyes.

Embid is a man child
League enabled.. him and Luka
There is no comparison. Luka is every bit as irritating with his complaining but Embiid is flatout dirty (Luka is not). If his team had any degree of post-season success, he'd be considered worse than Draymond.

How fun would it be after all the drama of the JB signing and the draft tank and the still going KP analysis if Knicks met Mavs in the finals?

I think our best Finals matchup would be Minny or OKC. Mavs have sort of had our number. I like a matchup where OG can neutralize their best player.

"Why don't other teams do this".......
Well, you need players that can handle this coaching this. Miami is good like this. Spo does it well. You need attention to detail and a "Culture" where players come in and will not get offense touches and we all know thats how you get paid in the NBA. So perhaps thats why Thibs gets a bad rap by many in the league. They don't want to expend the energy on defense and then get called out for offensive production decline because of it. Cam could not adapt. Obi. It happens.
Guys like Josh do get paid. iHart will get paid. Duece spend three years offensively challenged but he had the defense down.
Do it right and you get paid here.

One more time......That defense wore the 76ers out. Had to just keep it close enough then go for the kill.

The funny thing is Thibs stock is rising so high and the Knicks culture is rivaling every team including the Heat, so much so that players who voted against Thibs are probably looking deep into their own soul with disgust for feeling that way.
