OG on Embiid was truly one of the greatest performances on D i have seen
one of the best knick wins in my lifetime.
OG earned his stripes, i was weary about what we gave up but it was worth it. we dont win this game without him.
And OG guarding Embiid, I'm not gonna pretend to know more than Thibs but I've been calling for that all series. OG on Embiid and Deuce on Maxey. OG gave him a lot of problems. Ihart just cant guard him without fouling. Even Precious did a better job, I think we need to have quicker guys on Embiid not bigger guys. Quicker defenders force him to make quicker moves, where as against IHart and Mitch he just takes his time, foul baits, and pounds them in the paint.
Deuce was freakin huge and has been for months now, had no idea he would make IQ expendable, almost ironic!
and Brunson at this point greatness is just expected so I wont even say much, but the idea that he wasnt' a superstar after what he did last year was blasphemy!
This is why you need stars to win when it matters and brunson really is that dude. And can’t say enough about OG. A different sort of superstar.
We might have found something with Precious and then with OG guarding Embiid with some sharp doubles. Late defense was amazing.
The starting lineup has gotten exposed every game so far. They just don’t match well 5v5 against this team. Not sure if the move is to change it or not because next series could be completely different.

Precious 1 foul in 20 minutes. @Deelethal- this is what I was talking about last game. Embiid 1-6 on 3's- all you need to do is keep him off the foul line. For all those who suggested hard fouls, I hope you understand that there's a big difference between fouling and good defense.
Kudos to Precious for sticking with it after some horrible offensive blunders.
I was thinking earlier today about the “We Believe” Warriors and how they defended MVP Dirk with Stephen Jackson and Al Harrington. That is our best path and blueprint to defending Embiid.

I'll say this about Lowry. He was loser before Kahwi came and carried him and hasn't really been a winner after he left. And Maxey is kind of soft. Although Joel does possess those qualities, I think those already had those traits in them.

DDV had a great year but I'm not convinced he's a starting 2 guard on a contender. His shot diet shrinks against tight defenses and on defense you cant get away with all the gambling he does during the season anymore.
Its not me hating but I just feel he's better suited in a 26mpg type role and off the bench.
Deuce has been better on both ends.

we made it much closer than it should have been with all those FT misses 16 for 26, that could have easily cost us this game. PHI was 25-29

Great win. The refs didn't really allow it to get close. The refs reward teams that make plays and shots.
That Embiid open jumper... even after that, he should have taken it to the rack and thrown it down... instead he did the finesse thing.
I love it. Up 3-1. I can't stand Embiid.
