I really hope we start to see DD connect He's had a couple good moments but boy we are due for SOMEONE to light it up and we havent had that since McBride in game 1.

To me the path to winning this is some effective small ball. DD gets it going. We get DD/Brunson/McBride line ups cooking and it means either OG or Josh are getting a breather and we need that. Shit, I might even play Precious with a line up like that. Prolly only time you can.

Anyway I hope Thibs has something good cooked up and our boys show out!

I am feeling the same way. I feel really good about tonight. We blowing them out of the water!

We should start McBride and sit DD. Sorry, something has to happen to wake him up. Dude is probably super tight and not sure anything will get him to relax.

I hope our squad is motivated by the idea that Philly is so scared of 2000 Knick fans that they bought up tickets.

I don’t think I’ll be able to watch. I’ll check the score. Honestly, if they can manage to squeak by, they are not getting past Indy.

Love it

LOL but also 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

DiVo is 100% the key. He needs to come out hot. This guy hits 3-4 3's and we are tough to beat. He's had some good lucks not go down in the first quarters and we're always down 9 or 10 in the first quarter. He comes out hot and it changes quite a bit.

Maybe you put in Achiuwa for Hart 2-3 mins each half just to give Hart a breather and to give a different look against Embiid. I don't know how you can sustain playing just 7.

I mentioned after watching their play-in game versus MIA that they were the type of team that would pack it in when the going gets tough. I still believe that. They almost did it at home against MIA before Jimmy got hurt and gave them new life. Maxey needs to be contained but if we can build a double digit lead or get it up to 15 points they might quit.

Did you watch the game? Harris kept them in the game. without Harris, Knicks up by 20

Thibs would never do this, and the players know that. Its also why they will lay in traffic for this coach. Doesnt mean if Donte is cold he wont give the time to McBride but he doesnt jerk guys around.

Kinda funny how far the fanbase have come from Thibs doesnt play kids or develop youth. Now it's "play McBride in game 6"

this is my take also. He's in a funk. He breaks out tonight and we might win this thing big. If it's more of the same it's back to "we gotta find a way"

I like DD, his mental makeup, his guys on the court with him, his coach... I think he comes out firing and playing full speed on both ends. Hopefully he's hot and gets the NY CROWD fired up :)

A lot of coaches stick by rotations. But in the playoffs, in every sport, there is always some guy (Jerome James!) who never did anything, but comes up big in the moment. I get that the reaction for DD might be worse- it’s why I’m not coaching. But something has to happen to get him out of the rut he’s in.

And maybe the 9PM start time helps! I know it will help me not be awake for any heartbreak.

2nd quarter we had them on the ropes after falling behind early. Outscored them 32-17 in the Q and Harris was a -10 and 1-3FG. The whole team was ready to pack it in.

cautiously optimistic.

I believe in Brunson, he felt like let the team down. Just like he did against MIA last year, He's going to do everything in his power not to let it happen again

we are just so shorthanded.

They are only really playing 7 guys too. Both teams are beating the crap out of each other.

I trust Brunson I’m a little weary they see our role players as vulnerable now and revert back to game 1/2 strategy. Need Hart to hit the open ones tonight.

The vibes are craptacular.

Just kidding. We're gonna rip their hearts out and be obnoxious AF in their own arena.

Oh and I got a great deal on tickets from a health care worker!!!

That's right. When Jalen and the Knicks started rolling in the 2nd quarter, Philly looked bewildered and they were ready to be left in the rearview mirror. I was frustrated and a little surprised that the Knicks did not run up the score more. There were more mistakes, misses, even missed hustle opportunities than usual for the Knicks and they didn't take advantage of that stretch of the game to build a bigger cushion. At that point I was getting concerned about how the game would play out. The Knicks didn't look like the killers that they usually resemble.

Yea and if memory serves me correct Philly scrapped together a late push to make it a small lead at halftime when it felt like we should have blew them out of the water.

DLeethal @ 5/2/2024 7:33 PM
I will say they did look like killers to finish the game until 25 seconds left. They got the stops and hit the shots and built a lead that will hold nearly every time.

Was at game Tuesday and, needless to say, was in no mood to talk about or see any reminder of what happened.

With that said, it's a new day and time to burry these bastards!

Let go Knicks!!
