They got a few offense boards in the last few minutes. We did not execute FT's.
Nebhard hit a winner.
Shit happens.
Philc1 @ 5/10/2024 10:48 PM
Rare positive loss
NYKBocker @ 5/10/2024 11:01 PM
Thibs needs to make sure he says something about the Brunson molestation and no call. At least buy him dinner after

Having no timeouts def didn’t help. Horrible challenge at the end by Thibs.

Agree 100%. I didn't see it on the first replay but Brunson's hand definitely got in there. I also think those challenges should be saved for fouls or end of game situation s. An out of bounds turnover isn't pivotal.

Really came back to hurt New York at the end when a time out with 2 minutes left might have given them a chance to catch their breath and get those boards.

gradyandrew @ 5/11/2024 12:21 AM
Here's the idiot sports take:

Knicks bench destroyed the Pacers bench 24-14!

Chandler @ 5/11/2024 8:03 AM
Winning attitude is infectious. Achiuwa stepped up prior game. Alec this. DiVo amped up to help contribute more with no OG

They will respond very professionally

Nembhard was 1-6 (or something like that) and 30’ away. That was the perfect play for KNicks, THere’s no way they could stay on him and also get Hali to cough up the ball (who had been hitting shots)

Nembhard hit the shot, but you take that trade off all the time

As others have said, we execute on some things and refs not being jerks and we’re 3-0. AND the pacers know that

nycericanguy @ 5/11/2024 8:52 AM
tough one, up 99-92 I believe, we had it right there. Lots of missed ops late. But man this team is something else, on the road in a "hostile" environment, down practically half the team, and we still had a great chance at winning. Took a rather lucky 32 foot bomb to beat us.
DLeethal @ 5/11/2024 9:33 AM
Refs were atrocious but this

MS @ 5/11/2024 9:33 AM
I think last night you saw what we all feared. The legs got a little tired at the need. Rebounds were going the Pacers way.

Thibs finally found his bench. I know we have been winning, but Precious should have always been playing and we know Burks is a pro and is streaky so he should have been given the same opportunity every night when Bogey went down. He either has it or doesn’t there is no harm in playing him.

Looks like Tyrese was really banged up at the end of the game and limping off the podium so maybe the quick turn around hurts them more than it hurts us.

But have to find more rest for the starters.

The boys are warriors out there.

I’ll say again the Pacers half court offense is terrible. It’s why we’ve owned the 4th quarters and why we should’ve won last night despite everything going against us. We just couldn’t finish the stops with rebounds. We secure a couple boards we win the game. Timeout management would’ve helped us execute some of those final offense/defense stands better.

I think subbing OG for Deuce is a massive height and rebounding shift moreso than tired legs down the stretch. They have two 7 footers and we have a 6’4 guy playing PF. Agree we may need Precious down the stretch especially when we go Brunson-centric on offense. Also why we need to manage timeouts better so we can use them and sub accordingly for O/D.

DLeethal @ 5/11/2024 9:43 AM
The last play was a foul but also a horrible decision by Brunson. We didn’t get one call down the stretch you have to know there is zero chance they make that call there.
DLeethal @ 5/11/2024 9:45 AM
I like Thibs not going the ref route. He knows the clips will speak for themselves and he’s playing 4D chess. We will get better calls next game no doubt. Last night was the “correction game” like the Embiid 25 Ft game.
nycericanguy @ 5/11/2024 9:49 AM
WIth OG we wouldve won in 5, without I think it goes 6, but we are very clearly better than IND
KnickDanger @ 5/11/2024 10:34 AM
Love this team. Amazing under the circumstances that they almost went up 3 - 0. I expect Knicks will win the series. But man, I will be relieved in a way when they’re finally not playing. I can’t take it!
VDesai @ 5/11/2024 11:36 AM
Kind of amazing we have lost to 30 foot shots twice so far in the playoffs. That's how hard it is to beat the Knicks.
DLeethal @ 5/11/2024 12:16 PM
Our recipe works no matter what else happens. Our bench won last night and we lost. Our bench gets annihilated and we win other games. Just need to focus on what we do. Can’t lose the rebounding battle in the 4th ever again. That was the most tangible difference to the game. Not finishing great defensive possessions in crunch time.
Nalod @ 5/11/2024 12:20 PM
Parity.
Kudos to Indy who won the game. The did what needed to be done. They executed. We did not.
Rookie @ 5/11/2024 12:28 PM
I watched the first 3 Q’s from across the room at a restaurant. Caught the end of the game at home and it looked like they were fouling Brunson full court. We were up but I just kept saying not to let the refs dictate who wins. Some uncharacteristic bad play, bad luck and bad officiating proved to be to much. I thought we should have won this game. Was laughing at Indy celebrating so hard at the win. It’s not like they won, more like they were gifted the game. We should be up 3 games coasting into the ECF. Fuck

hey nycer, I thought the same thing, my concern is needing Jalen heeled more, not sure DD can continue that kind of display, he was great. With OG out game 4 at min, someone has to step up. I have to say this team with all the injuries just won't stop battling. They are so damn exciting to watch.

MS @ 5/11/2024 2:42 PM
100 percent they aren’t even close with OG in the game.

But, I think we all like our chances here and Boston will be a battle. You need your guys fresh. Almost looks like Thibs finds it amusing play Hart all this minutes. Like a badge of honor. I know we are short, major injuries. He did it in 15 point wins during the season.

We saw it when Deuce wasn’t in the rotation then suddenly played the whole game in the regular season. The man has coached has ass off and knows more basketball then everyone here put together. Just need to understand you can get guys minutes at the end of quarters. Absolutely no reason when you had precious and Burks on the bench you can’t spell 8 minutes for hart, especially before OG went down.
