11 missed FTs in a game is not good, in a half, that is horrific. Everything falling short screams fatigue. I hope they are just saving it for the 2nd half. Better start the 3rd strong.

I don’t want to hear anything about fatigue. We just played our best game of the playoffs and had 2 days off.

Well Brunson was clearly fatigued—- not sure what we did to get him looking fine and moving so well in game 6 but it’s possible he just fell flat (physically/mentally) even with the extra days rest. Remember another flight involved as well - sometimes travel can hit you at the wrong time.

In any event Brunson looked comatose from the start.

I have to say this —- injury or no injury Josh Hart is NOT DEFENDING- he hasn’t the entire series.

He is being blown by (pre-injury) and posted at will.

He is obviously giving TREMENDOUS EFFORT on the boars, pushing the pace and even protecting the basket but our biggest issue in this series is the inability to contain dribble penetration. If Josh is guarding Siakim he’s getting scored on in the post. If he is guarding anyone else he is getting blown by off the dribble.

The entire team isn’t controlling the dribble which is alarming and annoying as hell.

Only solution could be dropping his minutes but that isn’t happening.

The injury sucks - I’m assuming a torn stomach muscle.

Sikam is hard to guard, he’s got 4inches in height snd 5inches of wing span on Hart and Obi giving him a little rest behind him. Hart needs to be flying around.

Incredible, we are the only team really dealing with injuries, not even bringing up Brunsons ankles. Couple dirty close outs this series.

Need the zebras to protect Brunson and call the hand checks. Been pretty egregious the whole series the Access contact they have allowed.

Nalod @ 5/18/2024 10:59 AM
The other teams that had injuries are long gone. Either did not make play in or all together dropped. Milwaukee was pretty worn out by injuries.

He had a great second half so how does that jive with fatigue? Blaming everything on fatigue is lazy and it’s also illogical. Fatigue doesn’t just go away one game and come back when it’s convenient.

Only team with injuries? Donovan and Jared Allen got hurt, Zion was out, MIL had their stars hurt, Jamal Murray is playing hurt, Luka is playing with like 4 separate injuries. We are just the only team staying alive with guys out.

VDesai @ 5/18/2024 11:28 AM
Brunson didnt have a great first half, and others did play well. By the time Brunson got going, everyone else slowed down.

Hart getting hurt early was enormous. The hustle for loose balls, rebounds. The ability to push in transition was all compromised. The Pacers stuck Haliburton on Hart and with Hart compromised we couldn't exploit that.

Hart may gut it out, but we was about 25 pct as effective. I dont know what we can do with that.

OG is not showing any signs of playing.

We are out of bodies. I STILL believe we can pull out Game 7 with the crowd and Brunson, but it will be an uphill battle waiting out Hart and OG injuries and likely climbing out of a hole if we get to the next round.

It just really sucks to have basically more than half your rotation go down. Its kind of unbelievable really. I thought all the injuries mid year meant we would have more luck later, but the injuries never stopped.

Pacers are a good team and the played very well last night and in other games, but I dont think they are on Philly's level. Just regrettable to have had to play this series so shorthanded.

VDesai @ 5/18/2024 11:30 AM
Also we need to make FTs. Missing so many in the first half left us in a hole. Its been crazy how many we have missed in big situations
VDesai @ 5/18/2024 11:34 AM
Knicks did lose this game in the 2nd quarter when Brunson came back and missed a bunch of shots and kind of froze out the team who was shooting well. I think he will see that and adjust. This guy learns and adapts.

I was just hoping maybe the injury luck would be on our side for once and maybe the Pacers would end up with some to even the series out. We ended up just getting F'd over more by injuries.

Deuce and DDV are going to go off in Game 7. Deuce looked pretty locked in during the post game.

If JB can help get them going we win. Need AB magic as well, his 3s are going to be crucial.

They won’t loose. This team is too close.

Brunson - Deuce - DDV - Precious - iHart
Burks - 5 mins of Sims

Let’s get it. 3 guard lineup combines for 75 points.

It was brutal that Brunson came out so off his game. Everyone was missing shots from the start. Thibs has a tough decision with how much to play Hart in game 7 if still as injured. As mentioned upthread he is not a plus one on one defender in this series and if he doesn't have the energy/health to be swooping around and dominating the glass, then he might be a net negative, since he's not a reliable shooter. His injury also made him less effective with his drives and even just controlling the ball. Brunson too was throwing it away uncharacteristically for much of the game. I would not be opposed to seeing Sims's fresh legs for some minutes to guard Siakim in the post given he can't reliably make threes. First and foremost we need to get those rebounds. Can't let Indy own the glass like they did much of last game.

I've had this before and even taking a dump seemed perilous. Don't know how Josh can do it for game 7.

OG has had enough of Sikam. He ends it now. If he can only go for 10 minutes it may mean the difference.

Villanova / Georgetown 85 pace for Sunday.

They need to inject Mike and Ike directly into the muscle. Fixed.
