I haven't loved the team this way since I was a kid in the 90s. Best year since I have been on this site. Sad, but this was a good thing this year.
We really honed in our identity this year. Everyone knew their role and put in the work to excel at it. Got 2 All Stars to carry us, an All NBA guard to lead us, and 2 Harts to motivate us.
Chemistry is special.
Run it back!
Guys I was like 20 yrs old in college when i started here. This is most positive ive been on the team since then. I just believe theres a title in this team.
Great season..improvements in steps 🚶♀️ 👏
Knicks will get their day to shine in
NBA eastern finals one day!
Good season. Stinks that we had to deal with so many injuries, but this team has my attention and my adoration. Looking forward to seeing what they can do next season!
The window for this group is small, and may have already closed. The teams out west aren't easy to beat - and the Celtics are legit.
The FO has to get Depth because the narrative that Thibs drives guys into the ground is going to persist. They are all freak injuries, to some degree.
But - I have loved this group - I love Brunson. I love the version of Randle we got this year. Great year.
They don't have to win a championship for them to be a great team.
Go get Bridges, some depth and maybe some better docs or trainers, and run it back next year.

I’m of the complete opposite opinion.
The Knicks are on the cusp and their window to win is as good as any team long term and they have just proven how good and deep a team they are.
Knicks about to rock the NBA.
Come back healthy and things will take care of themselves
People act like Thibs was playing guys 40+ mins as if he had options. Randle Mitch bogey og come back plus burks and McBride playing the way they did and minutes will naturally balance.
We need to stay disciplined. I don’t want anyone over the hill
A luck shot and bad officiating at the end of game 3 will be a bad memory for a long time, and having a whiny bitch team from coach down is a tough pill. JB was mugged the whole series and for whatever reason did not get the respect a top MVP candidate deserved
NBA will get horrible ratings for the ECF
I love this team. We just need the basketball gods to smile on us again and have a injury free season next year. Cause we sure used all the injuries the year already
I look forward to next year, JB + Randle + DDV forming a scoring core complemented by jHart and iHart with Deuce, Burks, Precious and whoever we can get for Bogs.
I want OG & Mitch in bubble wrap until March and then they can get in a groove and devastate in the playoffs *
Please go get me a big that can shoot/score off the bench, and we're going to make more noise than this year (I don't consider Bogs a "big").
As other have said, I love this team's heart and passion and thank you for a great year, best year since 2000.
* btw, if Mitch has another major injury next year, I'll be ready to move on from him.
PS - a couple years ago people were pining for a Turner trade. I'm not exactly sure how that would work, and how Thibs would use him as obviously he wants his center boxing out and grabbing offensive rebounds instead of shooting 3's. But damn if it wouldn't be a nice wrinkle for this team to have a player like that.
PPS - did anyone expect TJ McConnell to out-Deuce Deuce? Guy is a whirling dervish!
Great season. Run it back.

Why is the window small? Brunson just hit his prime this year.
Get a backup PG and Demar Derozan. Draft some athletic 2 way guys.

Funny you should ask. Peak production is short. JB has just hit his peak. And I will give you that he may age like fine wine because his game isn't built on speed as much as it's built on guile.
But the window with this group is 2 years, and I am not factoring in what is going to happen to the cap with people getting paid- because once that happens, it's downhill.
Findings indicate that peak performance is typically achieved between the ages of 27 and 29, whereas the highest salaries are received between the ages of 29 and 34. Additionally, musculoskeletal injuries are identified as the source of half of the financial costs related to health problems in the NBA.

Disagree the window is only 2 years but agree the time is now to make a run. Brunson will be great into his early 30s. Wake me up when he doesn’t take a big leap in a year because so far he’s still on his ascendance.

Knicks about to rock the NBA.
This core has the potential for 6+ years together before even touching the agisr positions. Not saying they can stick around like Lebron, but, I could see these guys still in blue and orange a decade from now.
Honestly it’s stupid to think more than 3-4 years at a time. Too many things can happen and too many opportunities can arise. Knicks have a beautiful 3-4 year runway ahead and by standing pat and making fringe moves has a chance to be one of the 3-5 best teams in the league next year.
Honestly I never saw the rate of change we had this year let alone the results would be like this.
Have to say I have no idea as to what even this off season will bring.
The window? It opened in January and we were all really surprised by it.
Remember, its not always what we do but what other teams accomplish as well.
While I find them always distasteful the Celtics really revamped so much of their roster this year. Brad Stevens did a hell of a Job!
Timberwolves ran it back but needed health and a year to build team chemistry.
We need iHart back as well as resigning OG.

I see a lot of us in Minnesota. Just picture how much more bully and force this team can play with, when Randle, OG, Mitch are all healthy.

Same. Knicks and Minny are the 2 team, when fully healthy, are just about as tough across the board as you can get.
I wish iHart and Mitch would have just some 15 foot jumper as Camby had. Even Shaq had his turnaround line drive.
