All in one place - good job.
Agree first things first is getting OG and IHart signed. Of the two IHart more expendable despite OG’s brittleness. Would hate to see him go though.
After that there’s no clear moves. If they failed to sign one of the two then that creates a need. Guessing something happens with one or two of the draft picks. Hoping we bring in at least one rook.
Big trade? Anything is possible, but I expect a more or less stand pat approach with a little fine tuning. But we love it when they make moves!
Worth noting that Precious is an RFA - they can basically decide to match what the market decides to pay him and can defer decision making on him to some degree till they determine what happens with Hartenstein.
Can't hate what he gave, but I wouldn't bee too proactive in trying to keep Precious unless the someone throws the huge bag at iHart or a big trade involving Mitch materializes. As a backup 4, 3rd center, he probably wouldn't have much of a path to minutes and that spot is probably better used on a rookie.

Best guess on FRPs,
2024 - 2(NYK and Dallas)
2025 - 3(NYK, Wash and Bucks)
2026 - 2(NYK and Detroit)
Honestly can easily trade 4 of them and still have enough picks to refresh roster with yoots.
Here is the date for OG
Anunoby can sign a contract extension worth $117 million over four years on June 30 – the six-month anniversary of his trade to the Knicks. He has a player option for 2024-25. He needs to decide on that player option by June 24 and can only extend if he exercises the player option for next season

I legit do not know this: To sign a second round pick like Rokas, you need to use cap space or some exception like the bi-annual or MLE?
The Knicks are over cap, so they would need to use one of the exceptions that would hard cap you at the second apron? Is that the deal?

Apparently there is a second round exception

I think that is a provision of the new CBA. Is it retroactive to unsigned second rounders from earlier drafts?

Like the rookie scale exception, the second-round pick exception isn’t limited to a single use. It can be deployed as many times as needed in a given league year. The second-round exception can be used to sign a player to either a three-year contract that includes a third-year team option or a four-year contract that features a fourth-year team option. Here’s the year-by-year breakdown (option year in italics):
Year Salary
2023/24 $1,801,769
2024/25 $1,891,857
2025/26 $2,221,677
Total $5,915,303
As our chart of minimum salaries shows, in 2023/24, the maximum three-year salary for a contract with this structure would be about $5.9MM.
In 2023/24, the maximum four-year salary for a contract with this structure would be nearly $8.8MM. Here’s what it looks like from year to year (option year in italics):
Year Salary
2023/24 $2,019,706
2024/25 $2,120,693
2025/26 $2,221,677
2026/27 $2,406,205
Total $8,768,281

‘In 2024, Rokas Jokubaitis is expected to earn between €650,000 and €1.2 million a year with FC Barcelona.’
That’s in Euros and less than the min numbers you have listed. Makes a min contract range look about right for the nba
Deuce is a keeper. He has become what IQ was but he’s even better, can run the point and he doesn’t disappear come playoff time

Knicks committed salary 106,118,760 + 2M if waiving Bogdanovic. 125,151,610 if Bogdanovic is not waived
Projected 2024/25 salary cap 141,000,000
Projection - Buh Bye Bogey. Knicks need to maintain a healthy salary cap

This analysis fails to incorporate cap holds. I think staying below the first apron at $178mm and whether they elect to "hard cap" by using a S&T or an exception is the determination of "healthy", not whether the Knicks have cap space to be players in the FA market. Meaning, managing the spread between 144 and 178. Given the projections to increase the cap dramatically over the next several years, I think pushing salary towards 178mm is the correct economic move.

Good catch. Cap holds
- 24th pick - 2,278,100
- 25th pick - 2,186,700
- 38th pick - ?
Projected cost to retain FA's
-OG Anunoby - 38-40M
-iHart - 17M
-Achiuwa - 2M-5M

I think he can play the PG position but not run a team like a PG. His game is a SG who is too small to be a SG.

With a 6'8.75 wingspan, which shooting guards do you think he will struggle to guard that DDV won't?
