Angel's offensive rebounding numbers inflated because she gets her own as putbacks. Kind of like Melo did. Its hard work, and its a talent but its a bit tainted as well. Clark is serving up crow to many of her detractors. I get the obvious that a white girl comes in and is heralded as the league savior before she even played a game. She met the hype and the challenge. She was not the MVP or the leagues best player, but she took the beat down, got up and kept going.

I like the best of 3 format in the 1st rd since 8 of the 12 teams in the league make the post season.

I have to admit, I watched some the Aces eliminate the Storm. some good play. LIberty vs Aces tonite, game two. Naturally Im rooting for for Liberty but im not gonna get elated, or broken up if they don't win a chip. Its a nice sport for the summer with abbreviated season and shorter playoffs series and rounds. If they can draw big audiences and ratings I hope they get paid.

Clark's first playoff game 1.8M viewers
After Clarks team the Fever's elimination averaging 161,000 viewers per the video.
I tuned in for a bit the other day. When the refs walked over to the scorers table for a review there was a large white woman in the first row with crochet needles and a bag of yarn knitting a blanket. Not a great look.

Especially if she empale a player diving out of bounds to save a ball!

Is there AI that can remove Becky from the broadcast?

Brunson has a counterpart and mirror to look into and emulate

Yeah, this series is very competitive. This is the Liberty’s NY's year
I got you

Yea, they are both Super Teams. Being a Fever fan this season showed me the difference in talent levels are vast between teams like the Aces, Libs and the Fever. The Fever had no SG or SF off the bench that was playable. Fever Starting PF was the worst starter at her position in the league. They got the 6th seed on the Backs of AB, Kelsey, Lexie and CC. Lib and Aces end of the bench players are crazy talented. I am hoping to steal the Iowa girls Kate and Meg and re-unit them with CC. They are getting no time and both would become our best bench players.

The WNBA ecosystem is the worst. I really wanted to like it but they are too focused on race and being a victim. They can't deal with a white girl being this good as a rookie. I don't think I am watch it whenever CC is not playing.

It remains to be seen if Caitlin Clark's box-office was just a sugar rush. Let's see if those fans tune in next season. My gut tells me that viewership will start to trend down. I mean, nobody is even watching the playoffs and you actually have 4 good teams playing.

Paige Buechers comes back and while she won't break any records, if UCONN reaches final four it might have some buzz. Issue with some of these girls is they are blowing out ACL's. Cameron Brink did bring some attention to the game in College and was doing well with the LA Sparks before she got hurt. She has "the look" and is a very good player.
Soon the next "lebron or Jordan" will come thru college and if stays all 4 years breaks Clarks records or will be that much better she will star. NIL's will also pay her. Clark made more money in college!!!
WNBA competes with Baseball playoffs and the NFL. I doubt it will ever be a major sport. But, WNBA can feed to NBA and visa versa. Basketball fans staying engaged at some level helps all of it.

Lynx defense was incredible the last 5 min of the game last night erasing a 15 pt deficit in 5 min from Liberty causing a brutal loss in overtime. Libs played a really good game until the end. Exciting game despite the result.

Remember Annika Sorenstam? She had the same effect on the LPGA years ago. She was a must watch and even played in a PGA event. Anyone watch the LPGA lately? It was just a moment in time and then it passed. It would be lightning in a bottle if another player like Caitlin Clark comes along
