Perfect example of why Caitlin can't get open off ball this season. The picks they are setting are trash and never actualy catches the defense to give her an opening.

people blame Caitlin and not this trash offense with trash screens. Legit every off ball screen is like this. That is why Caitlin is the least assisted player in the league. Her team never helps her get open. The next tweet is from last year. The offense is from another bad coach but she was much better on offense than the one we currently have. It's not complicated but there is movement and an actual good screen. It's not a Draymond screen but good enough to give her a second to get a shot off.

In practice the practice players are barely guarding them so all those BS screens work but the second it gets to real basketball it never works. This whole organization is not serious.

Clean @ 7/11/2025 9:49 AM
Another two from last season. Not even a great screens but it caught the defender enough to give her a split second to shoot. If the coach is not pointing out how bad the screens are this season she is not a good coach or she does not mind.

Clean @ 7/11/2025 10:33 PM
We might need to get her on the Fever so someone can actually set a screen.

I liked the Clark/Bueckers story a lot more than the Clark/Reese narrative. Clark/Bueckers have been playing together and against each other since the 5th grade. Reese is just someone trying to cash in living in Clarks shadow

If she got a normal whistle she would average 30 a game.

I agree but Angel has been balling lately. She has the highest motor in the league and is finally starting to hit her layups at a league average rate.

Things might end up working out perfectly for me in 2 years. My casual WNBA team is putting on the full court press on the reason I watch the WNBA as much as I do now. Caitlin saw just how unserious of an organization the Fever are and been flirting with the Liberty ever since. I told you once she changed her stance from she wanted to retire in Indiana to a few more years she was telling them if they don't step up she is gone.
Rookie @ 7/21/2025 6:30 PM
Pay Us What You Owe Us warm up T-shirts were a bad idea. If they walk out after the season they are taking a real chance that no-one has the appetite to keep subsidizing their league while it is losing tens of millions every year. Maybe they should wait until they are profitable and then make that statement. Unfortunate for some of the players that don't have the luxury of time to wait until that happens but they might just destroy the league if there is a lockout.

They are trending up financially, they need to be patient before they scare the people financing their league away

Weird some of the very girls that are bashing Clark are now asking for the money too.
I agree they are not being paid what they deserve but they are paid fairly based on revenue.
Attendence is up and perhaps TV is also but is it sustainable? New TV deal kicks in next year.
What might be a bone of contention is transparency of revenue as league states its losing money still.
Combo of Clark as a rookie and Liberty winning (big market!) does not hurt.

Before Clark Mania hit there was Paige. Her injuries were pretty bad. She did not break the record like Clark did nor have the gaudy outside shooting but her game was very well rounded. Her freshman year was outstanding and so full of promise.
I admire her pace to let Clark have her moment and stay another year in school were she earned a ton more money and got her eluded championship.
I won't say "sacrifice" by any stretch. Just good business decision and get her body ready for the next level. The chip did not have the hype as the Reese/clark hype seems to have had more legs.
I respect the way she handled her "coming out" with Azi Fudd who has another year eligibility as she too had redshirted after a bad ACL herself.
Next up is JuJu Watkins who I hope can over come her ACL and return to form.

I wonder what the college players who run out of eligibility will do if the league has a lock out. Personally I thought the Bueckers coming out was unnecessary. Why not just carry on life as usual, no need to make it a headline at AS weekend.

We read headlines and it reads like "She came out" but it was more about her answering questions and perhaps she was tired of living a lie after being asked many times about a private life. Not like Sprite made a whole campaign of it. Context of the moment need be considered. Im not gay and can't say I understand what its like to live a secret life. I'm empathetic to those that have to. Other than few retired players NBA has yet to have an active player come out. I agree its not necessary but not every is the same. Paige gets to express her self more truthfully now. Good for her.

If they have a lock out I'd think some players will not go into draft.
I support they get a fair share but when they ask to not fly commercial, it also cost them. The season is just 44 games and its in the summer. So the revenue is not just not like mens, its also shorter and the TV money is not there yet.

Watch some of the Minnesota game last night, Napheesa Collier has been the best player in the league the last 2 years and she is not being talked about enough!

Her resume is jam packed. She must not bring the drama to be so under the radar

your not wroing. Angel Reese gets talked about far more. But ratings go up.
The game is one thing but viewership is about entertainment. Some fans want to see clark and reese both fail for many reasons. Many more want them to succeed too. They tune in for the drama. Bird vs. Magic had its racial undertones but in the end they were incredible players and the game was the stage for the drama. Media fueled the other stuff then, as social media does now.

Last year I watched Collier in teh playoffs and was also taken back how good she was and yet I was not that familar with her game.
