Ok, so it took a flukey game from the WC champs at their home court to take us out.

Lol. True story. Though Doncic didn't play and Kyrie went off for 44 points. Underscores the benefit of having Bridges where the fast PGs have given us difficulty.
The signing of Julius Randle in 2019 was the most impactful thing to happen to the Knicks since drafting Ewing.
Thanks for turning this franchise around.
Randle deserves his flowers. As good as he was on the court, he appears to be an even better person off the court especially with his community involvement.
But unfortunately you have to pay to play. I appreciate Leon for making the best move and not just the most popular move.
Everybody wins
Randle gets a chance to win a ring. I love ant and think he’s the next face of the NBA. Minny will be tough with a motivated Randle.

The Bot unintentionally started this trade with this thread
Man. Totally remember when Randle signed. I’m the first 10 mins of free agency, a Gimped Durant and Kyrie who was showing hints of his crazy signed with the Nets. I thought the Knicks would pivot to Randle and DLo Russell, who had just shown some chops. Russell ended up being included into the trade with GSW and Randle came here essentially alone.
He’s a gentlemen and does deserve tremendous respect even if I have been critical. I’ve always believed he had one more level that he could achieve and I still believe that.

Not gonna lie, that Timberwolves jersey does suit him. The blues and white without the wolf is a hard look

Wishing the Randle family the best in Minnesota...but definitely way easier to post heart eyes about Minnesota in the summer. Let's see how they feeling in January.
When we win the championship and they do a documentary or book, Randle deserves a chapter. Him coming here, when LeBum, KD and Kyrie were too scared to, started it. Nothing but love and gratitude for that man and his family.

Knicks make it right when they draft Kyden in 2035.

There are always solutions
this trade was a gut punch and exactly why I could never do Leon's job. 100% the right thing to do.
Tremendous appreciation for Jules. He's a true all star and impact player in this league. Will be interesting to see how his future plays out.
Was never a fan of Randle but he worked hard and helped us improve. Betcha he plays big against us but don't doubt that he wasn't the best fit for us going forward. I doubt he gets resigned by Minn and suspect he will end up on a team like Denver or Dallas by the following season. If so he would probably excel on that type of team. Guess the debate whether to get behind Randle or RJ can finally be put to rest...
