Urghhhhh I believe iHart is a huge sort of the Knicks game plan. Passing and ORebs and not needing the ball. Plus that cute lil putt shot he got!!

I don't see iHart "increasingly unlikely" anywhere. Mitch, sure, but sounds like Knicks priorities rn are iHart and OG

I don’t expect Mitch to be available for most games. So my assumption is that we’ll be playing Sims huge minutes.
I hope iHart stays somehow.
There’s still draft and free agency bro … lol
Plenty of options to shore up the C spot if Ihart walks
Draft? We got any picks left?!?
SupremeCommander@ 6/25/2024 10:52 PM
This was the offseason we had to push all our chips in. I would’ve liked more than bridges tbh. Hell I wish we just drafted him over fucking Knox (or maybe drafted SGA). All that said we could’ve done far, far worse and I’m happy to land someone of his caliber

That is nuts! Mikal is a talent, but also disappears for this price. I don’t know. Did anyone tell Léon that the championship would come when he had a team full of Villanova stars?
Weird
I suppose the FO has reasoned that the Knicks will have a 5 year contention window after this trade, so all the traded picks, except the 2031 one, are going to be pretty low.
It feels a bit like Republican fiscal policy of kicking the gov't debt and deficit problem down the line, but short of a Giannis, this guy was probably the only player worth putting all our chips on the table.
JesseDark@ 6/25/2024 10:57 PM
So we can get Hartenstein's replacement in the draft.

I know you're excited. It seemed like you and I were the biggest Mikal-stans on the forum.
Apparently I don't vary my ideas lol

Philly has a staring center. San Antonio has a starting Center. OKC has a starting center. What am I missing? Utah? I like Kessler’s game. Detroit? They suck. Orlando? Wagner is a better offensive C. Is there a team hiding in plain sight who can make the cap room?
Nalod@ 6/25/2024 11:02 PM
Teams that contend pay insane prices to get there. I don't know the future but Leon and company are not being pussies about on this one. Sign OG, keep Mitch and hold the line on iHart.
WE can also trade out some players for picks in two years if This don't work. Remember how fans thought how fucked Some teams were by trading draft capital? Nets got back a lot and will also have cap space to sign a free agent or use that draft capital to get another player. Donte alone is worth a mid first rounder.......
