This is the kind of thing that sets teams back by years IMHO. Invest heavily in draft; relationships with players, other FO's; and development plans within your team dynamic. Those are the things that are not salary cap cost prohibitive and do it wisely.

The Knox pick was driven by the FO wanting to keep Fizdale happy. He was a hot commodity at the time. A young coach who was courted by several teams, and chose the Knicks.

This is Phoenix Mikal. This guy is two way player extraordinaire. He’s decisive. Smooth. LONG strides. A smooth shot. Guy just loves to play ball. His off ball motion creates most of his shots. Whether cutting diagonal to the basket or moving to the corner.
Point is, he needs to use his feet and not his hands to get out of the slump. He’ll get there, cause he is a rockstar.

Only reason I'm skeptical is because his fundamentals are off. He is rushing all his shots, he's off balance, he's not set. When players tinker with their mechanics it becomes more mental than physical. Anyone who watched Chuck Knoblauch knows where this can go.
