Go Skappy!

Problem w Knox is his feet were too, large. His shoes were like water skis. Made all his moves clumsy

I think FO scouted him like a puppy and said look at those paws expecting him to be 6’10”+

Kk also never mentally recovered from when Zion ripped the ball out of his hands. Needed some fire in his belly

Based on the limited clips I’ve seen of Pac-Man he seems more fluid and coordinated.

Bondy always gives it straight and he was pretty convinced of the solid upside that scouts have been talking about regarding Dadiet after an in person looksie. Dude gonna take 2+ years but he has potential to be very special

Alex Sarr went 0-15 yesterday

Gonna need this young man to start stepping up and be the superstar we need him to be this year

I'm not saying he is the answer but I have to admit I like Skap! He's very old school and reminds me a little of Luc Longley. He uses his body well, takes up space, has a nice touch and rebounds well. Thibs likes him too.

“His size is terrific,” Thibodeau said. “He can pass the ball a little bit. Does a little bit of everything. Great communicator on defense. So we think he’ll be a good addition.”

Have only been catching highlights of these games, but it looks like with Kolek we have A grade passing instincts and a pass first mentality. 14 asts no turnovers is great. Looks like he needs to look for his own shot more, he has the ability to get into the paint and get a floater. Will have to hit 3 pt shot more consistently at the top of the key. Probably not being asked to aggressively look for his shot. He will probably never be much of a defender, but that won't be his role here.

Huk is more of a bruiser than a rim runner/pogo stick. Not the same type of player as Sims. He will need some time, but I think he has touch around the paint and has the size and frame to board if he puts in the work. I think my concern is will he be a rim protector?

Skap is turning some heads, efficiently scoring and rebounding in the time he is out there. Flashed in summer league last year, played in Westchester, got some call ups. I would assume he comes to camp and has a chance to compete for the roster.

Pac Daddy is what I expected to some degree. Youngest player in the draft, has a lot of development. Still he seems to have instincts for the game and is showing an effort defensively. He will need to help some more on the boards as a bigger wing, but we'll see as his frame fills out. Shot is all over the place, but I think he needs seasoning. I expect he spends the whole year in Westchester. I like the gamble on the upside.

Rokas looks like a nothing. He needs to be more aggressive before summer league ends or he will play out his career in Lithuania. This is dissapointing, because having seen him play for Lithuania in FIBA games he appeared to really have a nice shot and some aggresiveness. Now with Kolek and Cam I think he has no shot to be a Knick, but I want him to play well enough where his draft rights can enhance a trade package.

Jacob Toppin continues to intrigue me. I actually think he has something to offer, unfortunately left the game. But he has a chance to beat out Bates-Diop. Probably not a lot separating those two guys. Jacob probably offers better athleticism, and aside from one year where KBD shot the 3 well, I think he can match him offensively.

Duane Washington is a bit of a chucker. Fringe NBA player who will probably get some game time over the next couple years, but probably isn't a real roster player. I think we have better prospects and we don't need to hold on to him.

McCullar missing the entire summer league explains his slip in the draft. Clearly this injury concern is a lingering thing and could keep into training camp. I wonder if they just put him on a 2-way Deal when all is said and done.

Someone said on one the podcasts (think it was KFS) that McCullar knee condition was rumored to be degenerative. Hope not, for his sake.

Rokas looks good today. Playing with confidence. He’s not as comparable to Kolek as I figured. More of a combo guard. But he’s really tall. I could see a place for him on the roster if deuce is moved for a center.
Knixkik @ 7/17/2024 4:12 PM
Hukporti also looks like an nba center. Knicks have some solid prospects in this group.

I am impressed with the Ukranian center Skaptinsky (sp). Looks like he could develop into a rotational player.

Dammit, cannot unsee

He sets amazingly clean picks.

Is Rokas balling out? says he's 7/7 from the field in the box score. ABout time!

I really haven't watched enough of the SL games but Kolek seems to be light years ahead of where Deuce, IQ, RJ have ever been in their first 2-3 years in the PG role (or as guy with ball in hands) in being able to know where guys are on the court, making NBA level reads, and keeping dribble.

Now he got to prove it at NBA regular season speed.

And 1 with 2.4! He is such a baller!

Kolek seems to have willed them to victory
