Knicks · OT: THe olympic thing....... (page 7)

I couldnt root for the US with Embid and and Durant on it.
MaTT4281 @ 8/10/2024 8:32 PM
Curry's easily the most talented player I've ever watched. Definitely deserves a gold medal. And Bron played his captain role admirably. Respect to both, despite any old wounds.

But yeah, was rooting against Embiid. And Durant. And Bam. And Ant. And Haliburton if he ever got off the bench.

ToddTT @ 8/11/2024 9:57 AM
That’s funny.

Nalod @ 8/11/2024 9:57 AM
Lebrons passing remains top level. He had some good ones yesterday. Lebron as facilitator is all too happy to give the ball to others when they are getting the job done. The two man game with Durant and Steph coached by Kerr to close the game out was what was needed and these guys deliver.

The Game vs. Serbia Embiid has his stretch and carried the load.

I admired the effort France put in and kept the game close as they did. Loved Frankies spunk to start the game......

Frankly this picture is frightening for what the NBA is in store for.

Very mixed feelings on Grant Hill and Steve Kerr

Certainly seems like it was Nike- or Silver-influenced

Other than Jaylen Brown, how and who got dissed? Brown has no sneaker alliance.
LIke an allstar snub, someone always gets it.
Since Team USA is made of NBA players, I agree it has Silver written on it. How should it be? College kids? GLeague
Embiid could have played for Team France, but his son is American and felt a pull there.
If available, like him or not, he is an perennial MVP candidate when on the floor.
Haliburton over Brunson? I get that, but was it that egregious? Besides, our JB had hand surgery and really could not have gone.
Maybe he was in line to be selected if healthy over white?

Lebron was passing. Durant was hitting shots. Kerr went with those two down the stretch and they delivered.

end of the day Team USA went undefeated and got the gold. There is something about Jaylen Brown that is not universally liked and I can't put my finger on it. I don't dislike the kid so its not my opinion.

Curry is sponsored by UnderArmour, right?

Weird that Curry never played before. All good reasons and no conspiracy there. He had his olympic moment and boy did he ever do it well!
He is an underarmor dude and his star is too big to deny him a spot?
Brown has no endorsement but we look for reasons when things are not logical. Like when the finals MVP is not named as a replacement?
I know Durant is not popular and Lebron is not universally loved on these pages. Truth is team USA and those guys, with Curry (who does not love Curry?) really stepped up when they needed. Different players in different games. Embiid was not needed in final to shine. Also, Team USA has an obligation to not play guys if they banged up. 8 less minutes per game also.

That pic is experience> youth, but when Wemby has more NBA experience...

The child prodigy is still too frail to do what he wants.
He will get stronger and if his body can handle it he could be the "the one".
Next level Freaky?
His attention to his physiology could really be a great thing.
