The same way Olajuwon would hold clinics with players for a hefty fee. If Kolek really is "Nash-lite". A week or two with MDA might do wonders.
I dont know if will get another NBA coaching gig, but D'Antoni could have a lucrative career as a PG whisperer, for hire.
7 seconds or less, Tyler.
Kolek’s dad is a basketball coach. Not that he could not learn from D’Antoni, but I think he just needs playing time and a few months of work with our coaching staff. He looks like he is already prepared to contribute this year. Hopefully, he can earn some minutes during the season. I am excited by him because he looks like a true pass-first PG. It has been a long time since we had one.
Does D’Antoni actually teach guards how to be better guards or it is just his system that takes advantage of good guards abilities?

Those 2 plus the players talent level and work ethic.

I remember too many games in NY where players were jacking up 3s, and D'Antoni would yell "keep shooting". They were too often bad looks at the rim with not enough ball movement. Players would bring up the ball and jack up a 3pt attempt, while being defended. So no I dont believe it was the system. Admitedly, I thought it could work in NY until I watched it up close
What I did notice about some PGs under D'Antoni's tutelage is that they became better decision makers. They say you cant teach court vision. But MDA appeared to be the rare coach who could.
MDA had his flaws but I do like this for Kolek
Might be easier to hire Nash. Lives in NY, right? Out of a job?

Not a bad idea!
Hakeem the Dream was the only one to teach it?
Only French guys can mentor other French guys?
White players only comp to other white guys?
Coaches don't learn form other coaches and teach things?
CAA players all are linked to knicks?
Players with injury history always will have injuries?
Euros are soft?
Great players often make bad coach's, but can teach what they were good at?
What’s D’Antoni going to do? Teach Kolek how to not play defense?
I remember on the jets messageboard Aaron Rodgers was going to teach Zach Wilson to become Aaron Rodgers. That worked out great

You all are thinking about it all wrong. Tyler would look dashing with a stash

All of these statements are at least 50% true.

Some early morning sophistry, with your coffee? Who said anything about turning Kolek into a HOFer? Not me. Its about giving the kid pointers, and helping Kolek become a better passer.
