https://empiresportsmedia.com/new-york-k...Yurtseven, 26, came to the NBA as an undrafted free agent out of Georgetown in 2021 and played his first two seasons with the Miami Heat. In those two seasons, he struggled to find consistent playing time and dealt with a severe ankle injury in 2022 that required surgery, and played in a total of just 65 games spanning his first two NBA seasons and averaged just 12.1 minutes per game.Entering last season, he signed with the Utah Jazz, but again couldn’t find a lane to get consistent burn as he averaged just 4.8 points in 11.4 minutes per game across 48 games. In 12 games as a starter with the Jazz, the Turkish big man saw his numbers increase steadily as he averaged 8.4 points, 9.2 rebounds and shot 51% from the field. Despite this, he was waived by Utah earlier this offseason.
Looks nothing like Taj Gibson! Worth a gamble I guess.
Maybe he can be our Kornet. I mean Kornet was ours out of the G League and we let him go, no big deal. Yet, he has turned into a serviceable back up and for the Celtics. I always thought Kornet would be good off the bench for us maybe this guy could be a depth piece for us.
Invite him to camp and see how he does. Plus Clyde saying Yurtseven will be hilarious.

he was dominant in SL a few years back. he did NOT look like a thibs center though. decent offense no defense

Seems like he is good at rebounding. That is all.

The Turkish Delight. Omer Yurtseven. Per36 is 14/13. His DefReb% are very high and no slouch on the offensive glass.

You figure for a piece of the mid-level he would be worth a shot, 3.5 mil with one year guaranteed, second year TO 3rd PO, if they are allowed to do that type of deal. Then you have one more contract slot to add in a trade with Precious if they go for a big at the deadline

Tonight we gonna party like it’s 1998
Looks like Knicks gave him an offer and he said no. I’m guessing it was a non guaranteed camp deal and he wants something guaranteed.
I thought he was worth a flyer. Has some offensive skills and size. Looks like he is headed to Greece.
