Im happy to see this. Glad Sims worked on his shot with Bibby, really glad that he's working with a player's coach like Bryant. Got rave reviews from players he worked with in the past.

Unlike Mitch with videos shootings 3s, Sims is working on shots that he will actually have in the game. He is sharpening skills he will actually utilize in real games. If Sims hit shots near the basket after rebounds or a sharp pass within 8 feet he can get garbage baskets.

I don’t mind Mitch videos shooting 3s. My issue is it doesn’t translate to the games. I’ve raved about seeing Mitch personally before the draft, hitting step back 3s when he’s on the court alone. But even in pickup games, he’s back to old Mitch again.

I think we should’ve been traded him when he had more value. I didn’t think he cared about basketball then and now it’s even more obvious. This is not his passion. He’s just blessed to be 7ft with athleticism. This is why he’s always hurt. He doesn’t put in that work. Maybe one day he will once he’s on another team or when he’s a few years from retiring.

I rather see these young bigs and sims develop. They seem like they want it more. Hate to say it cause Mitch is my guy but it’s getting old. Give me somebody who’s hungry. Sims or Ninja aka poor man Mitch.

On some Knicks pods I have heard that Pacome has grown to 6'9" or 6'10". Anyone knows if that's true and if so how would that growth possibly effect his development this season ?

Don't think it makes too much of a difference. A lot of his development is going to be in Westchester.

Yes, I agree but if he had a growth spurt does that hurt his shot or skills adjusting to the new size ? Or having the additional length with his forward skills make him a more effective player from the jump and more likely to graduate to rotation time ?

Depends. Giannis grew and kept his dribbling, but lost his shot. Then you have David Robinson, who retained all of his skills after his growth sport. In the middle, you someone like Steph Curry who has to constantly keep adjusting his shot during his growth spurt. Most of the height increases are usually troll jobs anyway. Remember when people kept saying RJ grew to 6'8"? I know Frank grew to seven feet one summer. 😂

You are asking if additional length makes a difference?

When Knicks grow its a problem. Non Knicks its not.

You are right about the asmr man, that guys just moves and floats and shoots like the smoothest butterfly and it’s mesmerizing.

Closest Knicks have had to this type of movement shooter was Donte and he didn’t feel as lightening quick. I’m excited. With all of the gravity players and spacers and cutters, Shamet gonna make DDV departure hurt a lot less. Lets hope his laser guidance system is locked and loaded.

underrated... keep saying his career mirrors DDV to this point. and so does his shot, lightening quick release. He'll get great looks playing here. We might not miss DDV all that much, especially considering his role would have been much smaller this season.

McCullar is with the Knicks during their training camp in Charleston, South Carolina, but is still rehabbing his left knee after undergoing surgery in the spring, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.

McCullar's final collegiate season at Kansas was cut short due to his knee injury and it might cause him to miss time this season for the Knicks. Regardless, McCullar is expected to spend much of the 2024-25 campaign with the Westchester Knicks of the G League.

No biggie. He should just focus on fully rehabbing, since his window to help us is way down the line.

It's not big in terms of the roster. But he's be rehabbing for a while now. I heard rumors that he had a degenerative knee issue. This report has me thinking the rumors might be true.
