Are you saying trading for my man MitchBeast would make them less injured?

Oh, I’m just saying if you wanna really tank, might as well go for it

This is a year to do it!

Or not!

Zion: “I’m here for the tank too!!!”

I wonder what his availability, and game would be like at 240-250?

Going from 0-100 in a flash, and carrying all that weight. No wonder his hamstrings keep giving him problems.

It's tricky. He did lose weight and, from anecdotal reports, he doesn't look nearly as explosive at the rim. He's shooting below average at the rim this season.

Weight loss needs to be gradual or you end up losing muscle and explosiveness as well. I just can't figure out why the NOP staff hasn't come up with a plan that makes sense for Zion in the long-run.

Sometimes the body peaks at an early age and its not anyones fault. This kid is a football player. Not built to fly.
incredible what has become of Nola. few years ago they had excellent talent and picks to use for trade or utilize to sustain a great run. they just can't catch a break?

I say it's about maintenance at Zion's point. Phoenix was way ahead of the curve on this. There's just plain weight loss, which is relatively simple. You lop of arm and you cut of nearly 25% of your weight. Easy enough. I'm being facetious, but the point I'm getting is training for athletic performance is different altogether. Training to get big and training to get stronger are paths that start out on similar routes, but start veering off in different directions the more advanced you get. I'm not a basketball trainer, but I can tell you that simply losing weight won't necessarily lead to greater performance on the court. Whatever Zion did in the summer doesn't appear to have translated well on the court this season. Maybe the Pelicans did offer Zion the support and he decided to go his own way. Who knows?

Ja an Zion are two freaks whose athletic ability is incredible but questions durability.
Jah can do amazing things and his injuries are contact based. Its been said he is the heir apparent at the position from Derrick rose but it comes with a reminder the body can only do so much.
Genetics plays a massive role no doubt.
Wemby been doing many unorthodox stretches and prep in his teens which is interesting to keep a watch on. The body for these long guys are not engineer properly. Long ligaments are not as stable. Im sure others know more about this.
Jah can fly and is quick. That reverse layup he had a week ago was incredible.

Durant has been great considering his age but there is but so much one can do. he is devoted to his craft.
Makes one appreciate what Kareem, Karl Malone and Lebron have done in their careers. Genetics and hard work.

But JJ is ok?
10 games in and all that! Yikes.
I won't question their staff competence but only ask if they are doing anything unconventional there?
Smart has had issues for some time now. Its not flying thats the issue for Morant. Its gonna be landing.

What I love about the Warriors the most is all the offball movement. Way more mistakes happen when players don't just stand at the 3pt line. 1 player moving to other side and then 3 players shifting create a miscommunication resulting in an open 3.

Gets in his own head too much

Chet has a pelvic fracture and will be out two months? Yikes! Another unicorn injury.
The Wemby approach to stretching and preparing might be the future for these crazy unicorns!

Such a long list of unicorns either drafted bust, or get hurt over decades.
I pray for Wemby!!!! That kid might be different his physiology and approach has been different.
I mentioned Karl Malone, Kareem and Lebrun as incredible for their duration, have to add Wilt Chamberlin to the list. He sat out his option year and thought to return to the ABA if not for contract/legal issues. Knicks inquired I think at age 40. His scoring dropped but he was on a stacked team but at age 36 avg 41 min per game, and 18.6 Rebs a game! Played all 82 games last. Shaq was impressive into his late 30's as well.

All played traditional post games. This modern unicorns are far not showing durability. I have mentinoed Ralph Sampson as early "Wemby". Kid had mobility and range. Lower back issues were is issue. No ass.

Yes. They also won the game!!!
They went 11 deep in the rotation. They are deep having built that team organically thru draft mostly.
Either Thibs is a fool for not using his bench or fans are delusional thinking Shamet was going to save us.
We are down Precious and Cam. Thats it.

SGA blew up for 46!!! 134-128. Not a defensive battle at all1

Clean @ 11/12/2024 9:25 AM

Kenny was who I wanted when we went with Thibs. Sucks he went to someone we will have to play in the playoffs. He also plays his bench.

Atkinson has had an impressive career and would have been a good choice for knicks.
It thought he got a raw deal with Nets but in hindsight that trio of Durant/Harden/Kyrie would have broken him,
He is a systems guy and those HOF dudes were not having it.
Atkinson being that kind of coach then, would likely have been rigid also. Of course in a different way.
Perhaps His experience with Kerr taught him how to blend in stars/HOF players as they did and won a chip.
Coaches learn. Clev got a different version of Atkinson than we would have gotten.
Thibs Minny experience taught him to be less rigid?
The bench thing? He normally goes 8-9 players.
Leon and Thibs are family.
Cavs are cooking.
If Thibs was in Clev, would things be the same?

You keep repeating that like it's the full list, it's not. We did already know we were going to miss Mitch and Shamet before season started but somehow they don't count?

OKC not really missing iHart then? Or Sixers have not missed Embiid or Milwaukee have their full rotation without Middleton?

Weird take on the injury situation for teams.
