I think KAT and Precious will rotate around the Center and PFs slots. If worse comes worse we always have Josh. 😞

Deuce 6-9 wingspan at 6-2.

Teams need to carry a minimum of 14 players, Knicks have 12 guaranteed contracts and only salary under the second apron for 1 vet min and the the amount of turning a 2-way into a min contract (I guess it’s less than vet min).

Shamet is the assumed vet min and then you pick one of the 2-way guys.

No Rokas.

TJ Warren has a shot to make the roster. Knicks need size. We’ll see if he has anything left. Shamet feels like dollar store Donte though.

For whatever reason, those guys explode. Burks, Donte, Bullock. Shamet will need to find his chance.

While I doubt that we hurry on a trade for Robinson, would you trade Sims to get more depth? Because right now it would seem like the Knicks will sign Shamet. I do agree that the 4 is an area of need.

If they could trade Sims for a Eurostash that would be ideal. I have no idea if you are allowed to do that to create cap room. I wish we hadn't guaranteed Sims, he's not an NBA player.

Thought this was a very good explanation of where the Knicks sit financially with the remaining cap they have regarding roster spots and how they can fill them

So basically no chance we can keep Shamet and Warren.

One of two unless we deal someone else.

The more I think about it having both Mitch and Precious is redundant. Mitch is the better player although Precious is going to get another audition with this revamped rotation. Come 12/15 one of those two could be traded and throw in Sims as salary ballast.

There should be another trade coming at some point either after 12/15 or at the trading deadline

Exactly

Seems to me like Shamet is a done deal so Warren, to me, signals a trade possibility.

No, it's just a exhibit 10 deal. Unless, Warren really shows out, he'll be released. Maybe they sign him to the G-League if they convert or cut one of the other two-ways.

I was thinking more along the lines of Brock doing Brock things and thinning out the payroll by some minuscule number with a trade that would allow us to convert a guy like Warren and fill a critical depth role.
