I am inclined to agree. Brunson commands doubles, KAT needs a big body defender and is gonna bring defenders away from the basket, and you have to close out on OG and Bridges from the corner. Teams are gonna play off Hart and Hart can roam around and follow the ball. He averaged almost 12 rpg in the playoffs- Philly played off him and he was getting to every ball. As much as you love Deuce's shooting and D, having Hart's rebounding out with the SL (OG isn't a great rebounder, and if KAT is taking a lot of 3's he's not gonna be near the offensive boards) is going be extremely important.
Good stuff, thanks.
I think the above might inflate it a bit, but it's not gonna matter. He's getting 10. He averaged 8 last season over 81 games and 10.2 in 42 games last year as a starter and in 13 playoff games last year he averaged 11.5
He's going to have the weirdest stat line. Im going with 11ppg, 11rebs and 5 assists while shooting like 42% over all and 33% from 3 and we are gonna love it
Not happening. Just start the guys making the big bucks.

With OG's injury history, it's definitely going to happen at some points in the season. Let's just hope it happens 20 games, max.
I brought up this thread a while ago but the title now can be starting Duece over Bridges.
Either way the starting 5 needs a shakeup to get Bridges going and getting our defense back to where it belongs.
McBride is a very good sixth man and Hart would not take the perceived demotion well.

Deuce has chronic knee inflammation having missed 5 games. I would think his minutes are going to be inconsistent.
Thibian way with knicks has been to let players who are getting it done stay in the game. Bridges got benched yesterday.
In part, hornets young guards were lighting him up. Deuce had a great steal and dunk, and was doing well! If his knee improves, perhaps more role.
I don't have the answer to Bridges. I think there is something to the schematic he is not picking up or we are asking him to play in manner he is not used to.
I think with either deuce or hart starting, they both will and has impacted the team. Deuce may not get as many looks or attempts in the SL, but he would help spread the floor. But the second unit would take a major hit since deuce is the main scorer off the bench.
Also deuce growing into a sharpshooter doesn’t make since to me. He came into the nba as a mid range 2 way sharpshooter. As he’s now adjusted to the NBA 3 pt line, I would say that’s the main thing he improved on along with his overall confidence.
I’m just glad we have them both on the team and on decent salaries. Enjoy it while it last. Gives Thibs lots of flexibility. And Thibs isn’t afraid to allow deuce to finish games. So technically deuce has already found his way into the SL, in the 4th quarter. I think being a 6th man for this team under Thibs is a perfect role for deuce. I just hope we keep him and he doesn’t leave for a starting role like quick did.
