The reason Andrew don’t got time to follow the Knicks or ultimateknicks, he been busy parenting and coaching!

Congrats Kiera! Going to college in Hawaii, living the dream.

But we really know the reason Andrew left is because the Knicks didn’t bring back Chris Smith.

Let’s be fair, Andrew’s best talent is taxiing kids to practice 😅

I meant his daughter has the talent, clearly. For a program in HI to recruit from the east coast just shows tremendous talent.

I don’t know enough about your family or his wife- clearly he married up and maybe the talent skipped a generation?

This area of western NY is weird, lots of really good volleyball and soccer players from the area.

Beach is even more difficult but we got a few really good athletes that come out of area

Yessir! I think I may have mentioned this before: saw him playing a lot of summers in our local tournaments. World class athlete. Tippy top of world class over the last decade and it was my pleasure to watch him up close when he came back home during college. Seeing these athletes up close is mind boggling. How they train, how they warm up, how fast they move. A-MAZING.

Another name: Terese Cannon. Another local who has made it to the beach pro ranks and grew up next town over. Not elite but up there. Watched her a bunch locally when she was in high school and college.

And one of the premier beach coaches also happens to be from the area somehow: Scott Davenport. I think he coached Mel and Sarah Pavan when they were tops in world for a 4 year stretch or so.

It's wild how all of these folks came out of the area and we only have 3 months of access to a beach along the Great Lake of Ontario. Sometimes, just a few good athletes from the same area push each other and things build momentum and cascade from there. Just takes a few ex-D1 parents to set things in motion with the kids.

Yeah that’s crazy

It was a looong time ago and I don’t know if they’re still active but Burlington Vermont had a good series though that was grass not beach. A lot of great players from Quebec. Jose Cuervo even held a tournament there

NYKBocker @ 11/17/2024 10:30 PM
Congratulations!
