OG has benefitted from this new look offense mmore than anyone. The spacing and attention Towns and Brunson are getting has allowed OG to slash to the basket for easy dunks. I love how how smart and unselfish this team is. All of the starters understand the art of cutting to the basket, especially when their teammate picks up his dribble....and all of them have really good vision and anticipation to hist cutters in stride....

I think this offense only gets better and its currently NBA elite. We could easily be 10-4... no excuses, but for me all the pieces are there. Also it's not that Precious is so much the key, rather that he and Mitch are essentially the muscle and we could use some of that now. KAT/OG are great and tanks but after that it's super sketchy

Yes....on the offensive end, its definitely 20/20...clear as a windshield. A little blurry on the defensive end especially when you consider the talk about Mikal not living up to his defensive rep since he's been here. Watching Brunson come up in the clutch again, with the go ahead basket against New Jersey and then Bridges game saving defensive play is the vision! Bridges probably wont be a shut down one-on-one defender for 48 mins, but I think he has the abiity to come up big on defensive possessions; a key steal, a big block, a smart deflection by getting his long arms in the passing lane, etc....Thats the vision....

KAT prob won't shoot 50% from 3% all year, but when you consider: Brunson is shooting low 40%s on his float game which is among the best in the league the last 2 years, OG is shooting only 30% from the corners where he has been one of the top shooters in the league, Bridges is hitting a cold 0% above the break and not even clipping rim at this point...My point is it can still get better offensively from here.

Which is insane in the membrane! In a good way!

Somehow this got done without Johnny Bryant and with Thibs only being able to coach defense

Bridges seems to struggle a bit playing both ends. His crunch time defense looks good but his scoring does not. Meanwhile is 1-3rd qtr defense is pretty soft but he's scoring. I think he's just adjusting to the Thibs school of finishing. He's playing a lot also with McBride out and Shamat slated to be the 9th guy we are puttering a bit between thin bench and overplaying guys.

All temp... get these guys cooking on offense and the D will come. All our muscle is banged up. McBride, Precious, Mitch...

One thing that is great about OG is that he recognizes space and doesnt camp for 3. He immediately makes a run for the basket and gets an easy dunk. He has crazy high bball IQ in terms of knowing where to be on both ends. This is why he got traded here and immediately was making major contributions

OG with much better handles is near Kawhi

For the nerds

I’m projecting again. I think this is Leon’s vision.

Brunson Mikal HerbJones OG KAT
Payne McBride Hart Precious Sims
Kolek McCullar Dadiet Hukporti, Rokas JamesNnaji

First tier offensive players at PG/C surrounded by first tier defensive-spacer wings.

Backups that Thibs loves and can sub in whenever or start in a pinch, every one of them. Josh is the main cog that makes everything groove and first guy off bench.

Third layer development stack and unsigned Euros.

Not bad and deep with plenty of upside!

Hulk just needs a bit more time to learn the rest of the playbook, and he busy fetching coffee and whatnot anyway

Our starting 5 are already doing alright, playoff worthy performances usually. That offense is out there in the stratosphere. That's the vision. So just bring guys back from injury to shore up the bench and profit. Making the opponent try to make a run against Mitch, Precious, Deuce and whoever else is playing from the starters is going to be a tall order and fun to watch. With more assists Mitch might unlock his roll to the basket game. Without dribbling. Given how he is absolutely elite at finishing around the rim it would be a huge strength

He did put the fear of getting benched in Sims, it seems. As others have suggested, the Knicks might also not want to give other teams interest in Huk by the first trade deadline.

Don't know if you would want to move Hart from the starting unit. Herb at the 3 for the 2nd unit fits like a glove as well.

Then again we probably shouldn't do that move until we sure up the ability to rim protect and rebound outside of Mitch first.
