He’s been playing good to great defense like that for the last 10 weeks, give or take. It’s been right in front of you.

Good post. Especially since this was before Mikal took over the Celtics game. But I came around with Mikal and just realized he's forming into a different type of role player that fits with JB and Hart. They all have that championship pedigree and will turn up as pressure builds. Mikal seems to be the key for this team. He actually tips the scale when he's on, because his impact is more than just those mid range jumpers.

His defense was the single biggest asset in our lineup last night, and that is no knock on anyone else as I was more or less satisfied with everything except foul shooting

Call me crazy but I think his defense in 51 minutes had something to do with the Celtics setting the all time record for missed 3PT shots in a playoff game. Also had a steal on the Celtics last possession of the game.

We picked up Beauchamp for nothing, We got Kolek, Huk, and Mcullers in second, and Dadiet ready for next year. Still have a group of first every other year. It is what it is. Hope Bridges is more dynamic next season on offense.

Washington pick potential next year (or 2 seconds), Rokas doing something in Europe too.

And Beauchamp is what exactly?
Bridges needs to work on his 3 point shot this summer. He changed the shot, and it just is not working consistently. He needs 500 shots a day to get that 3 point shot more consistent. If he does that this summer, with his mid-range game, he can be a more consistent scorer for us. We only need him to score maybe 18 points, but we need a consistent 18 points. Clearly though he has improved his defensive focus in these playoffs. We still gave up probably one too many first rounders for him, but if we get past Boston, then I don't think anyone can complain.

Im sure someone Will find something.
His numbers are closer to what they were in PHX.

Its weird because his numbers are closer to Phoenix in terms of offensive production, but his play style remains closer to Brooklyn in that he seems to be better as a primary handler/ISO/focal point. If he could improve his corner shooting and pull up shooting on the break it would make more sense within the context of our offense right now and within the starting unit. He can continue to find soft spots in the mid range, but if he could hit more in the 38-40% range on a bit more volume it would do wonders for our offense.

Not sure why he changed his shot but I agree, he needs to fine tune it this off season. Also the NETS forced us to overpay for bridges. That was the only way they would trade with us. But if we forget the picks, Mikal fits like a glove. Just like Miami 3 banana boat stars, the 3rd star has to change their game for this to work. I believe he’s finding his swim lane as we speak.
I thought it was deuce who was the key player we need to beat Boston but it may be Mikal.

He and Josh, the whole summer, just bosom buddies doing shots
