is Brunson ok? He's had so few minutes the last few games.

Brunson only played 27 mins. And he was the one who kept them from getting embarrassed early
LivingLegend @ 12/5/2024 9:55 PM
Some of those brief smaller line-ups with Precious/OG/Mikal/Josh/Deuce were interesting and our D really ratcheted up in 2nd half....showing glimpses of what it can be at full effort.

Meanwhile Blockness Monster lurking in the shadows.

If he can keep the shooting up to some degree, you can’t guard this team. Can’t hide a center or a PG on hart with his shooting.

It’s the bench. We might see more rest for KAT as Precious gets more reps, but we need a guy like Shamet to rest OG and Mikal. The bench definitely needs someone else, but also Payne’s absence had a role.

OG was so good tonight he was even smiling and laughing. I literally think his contests forced 20 missed shots in the 3rd. He was pure insanity

Got a pork chop to the ribs I think

Hathaway DM’ed after those 2 blocks, he knows the deal

Good win

Nothing more to say.

I want to improve our bench so this doesn’t happen that often, BUT this is also the new NBA where pacing is so fast 20pt leads are yesterday’s 10pt leads or less. I get why Thibs does it, but we need to improve the bench so he doesn’t. Case in point, Brunson played less than 30.

YES - this was fun and hopefully what Thibs was thinking all along pre Precious injury. Not thrilled however with Josh/Deuce on ball offensively in 1.2 court as primary ball handlers.

What about a Brunson/Mikal/OG/Precious/Mitch line-up down the road where we still have go-to scorer but surrounded by all kinds of length and shot blocking?

This season is going to come down to health --- 100% coming down to health.

Amazing to see him fully join the fun. Obviously he was doing fine through the struggles, but it’s awesome that he’s been showing more confidence in both sides the last few games.

YEP - both Kat and Mikal might be pretty good one day if they keep working and eat 4 basic food groups.

What's great is it kills Thibs to even call a timeout with 45 seconds to play and a 45 point lead to get his bench guys <1 minute of pt.

If nothing else - Thibs is consistent.

Hornet announcer is really funny --- they were showing Thibs face up around 30 late in game and he was so cranky. He said it looks like Thibs ate a plate of bad sausage for lunch.

I feel a burden lifted off me. I no longer have to complain about Randles...
Spacing out on D.
Low effort.
Being too emotional to the point he makes bad mistakes.
Fighting with players and coaches.
spinning into turnovers.
throwing short distant rockets as passes.
ball stopping.
His bad body language.

I just get the strong sense that he is very close to his key guys and knows if they want the time or not AND if they are feeling good.

Mikal for example I think he is doing everything he can to get him comfortable and Mikal is always a big minutes guy -- I mean it's 40 minutes with a 15 minute break at 1/2 time and plenty of timeouts.

All the said - I didn't like Kat driving to hole <2 minutes and crashing into front row - Kat scares the hell out of me.
