What is absolutely beautiful is that outside of the 3 early TO’s he basically forced nothing, took great shots and the #1 reason we have most efficient offense in league is Kat’s quick/decisive/unselfish offense.

You can get away with him at the 4 tonight because Randle doesnt play D and Gobert doesnt want to guard the perimeter. Not sure it works in every game but we can do it in the right matchups.
I probably root harder for Precious vs anyone else on squad—- something about his no nonsense play just makes me love the kid.
Anyone else love the immediate change of pace Payne brings.
Yes he can take some please don’t shoot shots but when he comes in the pace amps up and the ball starts flying around.
Just realized Kat 32 on 12 shots.
Not sure if this is 100% accurate but KnicksMuse put out something saying Kat is 1st NBA player to average 25 and 14 since 1982 —- MOSES MALONE.
KAT & Mikal 61 points 26 rebounds 12 assists net +66
DDV & Randle 39 points 11 rebounds 6 assists net -35
I love the trades.
P.S. Knicks put up 133 on the Wolves who are #2 defense and recently were only giving up 92 points a game the past few weeks.

Start calling Sims , "roberto Duran", hands of stone
Feel like I’ll be watching the game in the morn. Worth it!
Wow when this team shows out we look unbeatable.. love that bridges is coming around he’s like a secret weapon that people forget about after KAT, Brunson and OG also precious looked great in the SL next to KAT
Mikal only played 36 minutes? Was he hurt or something or Thibs just getting soft?
THIS is the starting lineup.
This is the lineup I’ve wanted for a long time, but wasn’t sure how well it would play out but suspected it would be right. It’s just one game, yes, but you can tell the impact that a rightly balanced lineup has. And also, we all know that when given significant minutes, Precious delivers. And the defense and rebounding, you can see the impact! OG is amazing and can definitely give you minutes at the 4 when needed, but he is better suited at the 3.
I really hope we keep this lineup moving forward. Not only does this lengthens the lineup with a talented Swiss-army player like Josh coming from the bench, but you really take advantage of all of our players at their strengths. Get me a backup power forward through the wire at some point in the season and we are cool.

Knicks looked great but Precious was a -4 in a game we were up by 30+ for most of it and we didn't take over the game until the bench mob came in the second Q.

He is getting A LOT more comfortable!
Knicks also making a point to get him the ball in his spots.
Still believe his and OG’s consistency will be key for n how far we go.
KAT has been KAT from outside. We will see how that does in big games.
Love the ball flow and pace he brings to team. We just have to make those threes.
Great win. Dominant show of who is a better team right now.
Wolves depth and outside shooting is not good.
Is it me or does Rudy look really skinny now vs a few years a go?
Rudy did cover him on the perimeter and was picking him up a the 3pt line often but KAT was lofting them a few feet beyond and was hot.
That happens you can't stop that.
Do that and the passing lanes open. Knicks were hitting there corner shots also and were hitting the good looks and the not so good ones.
Josh Hart? Crossed my mind a trade pending? Just a thought.

I was expecting a win last night but holy cow that was total domination. We got ourselves a superteam.
Keep saying it but our NET rating is insane and indicative of an elite team. The defense will get better, especially once we get Mitch back, and the offense is ELITE and Brunson hasn't found his stride 100% yet, and Mikal is just starting to find his.

Add Mitch to this roster as the rim protector who also gets double digit boards and it is lethal.

The size just looks different/better with Precious there (giving a very long 2-5 positionally).
1 problem is we lose some ball handling and Brunson ends up doing a lot of dribbling (my #1 issue watching us right now) BUT I kind of like Precious/Kat screening out front in tandem and feels better if Kat pops out that Precious can either cut or get to rim.
I don't see any starting line-up changes coming but Precious does help around hoop IMO more vs Josh. Don't see Thibs making that change and don't see Josh taking that well. #1 issue with Josh for me is to defend at high level every night and I'm talking about staying in front of people and not being a traffic cone on perimeter.
martin wrote:Mikal only played 36 minutes? Was he hurt or something or Thibs just getting soft?
I think he played like 1st 21 minutes of 1st half and we were up so big he got last 3 off -- towards end of game we were up +30 and he came out.
He was GREAT tonight.

YES to DLeethal comments. I'm one of biggest Precious supporters but we were down 1 at end of 1st (+30 points for Wolves) and Precious was primary defender on Julius when he got a quick/easy 13 points.
I agree with Knicksfan that I think I like Precious next to Kat better and pushing OG/Mikal down to 3/2 BUT AGAIN don't see Thibs changing anything.
I really like when Cam comes in and starts turns the pace up and ball starts flying around - Cam/Mikal/OG/Precious/Kat I think was out there for a few minutes with Deuce sprinkled in as well --- better pace with Cam vs Jalen slowly getting into sets.

Yes - I have some worry about Kat in big games but I going into last night I also thought this would be a type of litmus test (playoff atmosphere) for how Towns would play in playoffs.
Thing with Kat - if the shot is off he can still get to FT line, best rebounder in league and with Joci best passing big in league - not to mention solid screen setter. Another thing I'm super impressed with Kat on -- very good outlet passer (quick and on-point).
