Knicks · Jordan Clarkson? (page 2)

Clarkson used to be good but he stinks now.

Anyone really think that Leon is really targeting Jordan Clark?

Clarkson can get buckets in a hurry, so it wouldn’t surprise me. We need that off the bench, at the bottom of the league. It’s also about keeping the starters from wearing out.

To me the only question is will Clarkson step up on a contender? The man can still drop close to 40. If the price is right, I’d give him a shot. Isn’t on an expensive, or long term deal.

No way do add Clarkson. Mcbride and Payne are a dynamic bench duo that are two way players . Thibs would hate clarkson especially on defense.

Shamet, Deuce, Cam Payne already fill that role.

I jinxed it. Boobie got waived just now. Matt Ryan gets the 2 way slot.

Im a little sad that Boo Buie never got to play against Dick

Don't worry. You can still watch Dick/Harden on 2/2/25.

Don't know, but I think Cleantony Early might still be hopping.

Thinking about it, and I think Dick Huerter would be a banger porn name.

Our bench is fine.
ramtour420 @ 12/26/2024 9:27 PM
Everyone and their mother always talks about how we have the lowest scoring bench in the league. Does anyone think that it might have everything to do with how many minutes the starters are playing?

Here is a stat that I'd like to see instead. For example, 48 minutes x 5 players= 240 mins total in each game. Let's say, just for simplicity, that each starter averages 39 minutes x5 starters= 195 mins. Now 240-195=45 minutes for the bench. Now we can divide our 20 bench points average by 45 mins giving us O.44 points per minute. I know it's a very approximate calculation but that's the number that should be used to compare our bench effectiveness against the rest of the league. I bet we are somewhere near the top.

Yeah it’s the starters minutes affecting the bench scoring. Towns was the only starter to play less than 36 minutes last game and he was in foul trouble. Kale played 43.

Right, plus out bench is guys who have missed games - Deuce, Payne, Precious - or guys who don't score in Jericho.

as PhilC said< "our bench is fine".
The issue is to truly contend you need more depth. reduce min on starters some and "next man up" if there is an injury.
Deuce knee is an issue and I doubt he can play starters minutes if it is.
Precious can, but who backs him up?
Mitch will need a ramp up and will be fine we hope.

Once we hit the meat of our schedule we'll know the true nature of our team and should Leon push the chips in and go for it, or as Windhorst prescribed at the start of the season we need time to round out our roster over this year and into next.

We are a work in progress. If Shamet/TJ warren can give us punch off the bench, especially with Mitch that would be a big plus.
Saw CamPayne played but 5 min vs. Spurs? Was there anything wrong?
