i mean its true, SA shot 51/42% and still lost. we didn't shoot all that well and still won, so I take that as a good thing.

Wemby settles for too many 3s

Wemby is going to be a problem next 15 years in the nba simply just his insane length on defense is an issue was causing us all kinds of problems. Once he puts on more weight watch out.

Agree but with his frame I would be concerned with lower extremity injuries….although he has held up nicely but with his frame and the angles h takes on drives and finishes…that would be a definite concern.

Wemby with extra saltiness on his Christmas

I wonder if Mitch wouldn't be a great back up for Wemby. Wonder if we could get a first or two for him, or a first and some seconds.

Pretty sure the winning stat line is 15 turnovers vs 5 turnovers. We protected the ball better. They absolutely shot better than us, though our 17/25 top performer beat out their 16/31 top performer. Even on a bad shooting night we cleaned the glass, protected the ball and gutted out a win.

Spot on. We played better than they did. They shot better but not enough better and we did everything well especially wanting the ball more when it mattered

Basketball is more then just shooting better then your opponents. All the things he said the Knicks did better he seemed to diminish but those things are what win games. Maybe his coach will call him out on that or a vet on the team. Wemby acted like his team is 10 games over 500 or something.

People really taking too much out of that tweet. He said we out-dogged them down the stretch. Which as a Knicks fan I take more positively than anything else. Both teams played great and had dueling star performances and the team that won was the team that out dogged the other team in the final mins. I think that's fine of him to say and I take it as a compliment.

Rewatching that 4th quarter I think even with all the praise that Mikal’s performance is underrated. That was next level stuff after falling behind 8 with 6 mins left. And in yesteryears Knicks fashion everyone made huge plays - Hart with a big 3 to cut it to 2, a massive putback layup to go up 3, the 50/50 balls, Deuce had a massive 3 pointer as did OG. But Mikal went full Kobe mode in the mid range on top of some massive 3s.

I know new year new team but last night was first time I got the same feeling in my bones that last years team gave watching them gut out games down the stretch. This year has been full of lots of blowouts in both directions. Seems we were in a close game every night last year.

That was my take as well.

And this was the next step of development in learning how to win close games when shots are not falling…the gritty wins…

Mikal is such a smooth operator that it's hard to tell he is dominating on the court.

Nice stuff for the X&O nerds

He and Chris Paul had the same talking points after the game, and I take that stuff as badge of honor (being out-dogged). They did indeed play good enough basketball to win the game but we stifled them down the stretch with hustle and defense and won the game.

I was under the impression Devon Vassel is a good defensive player. I know Bridges was on a heater but Vassel helped a lot of that with lack of defensive awareness.

Benjy crushes that. Mikal a different guy now that he is seeing the ball go through. He was cooking yesterday. No fear on the mid range.
