Elf played well, not great. Team finished surprisingly strong that year.
This was to be the series vs ATL were for the most of the season ATL was the better team but we went on a run to finish ahead. They beat us and of course tarnished Randles reputation for those with short memories of what a good season that was for us. New Leon, New Thibs.......ANd Randle had made his ascent.
PhilC used Elf as the scapegoat proclaiming: "he will never be on another NBA team again."
We know PHilC as A self proclaimed savant of the hindsight often reminding us of his unverified thoughts. He boasted about Elf's demise and seemed to take enjoyment of it. Me? I nearly remind him that Elf was part of team and its to be respected what he accomplished asa part of that improbable 41-31 season. Compared to the shit show the year before it was a great time.
PhilC thinks Im abscessed with Elf. Im obsessed with calling out bullshit.
Elf played 50 games the next year for PHX as a bit role player, but he defied Philc proclaiming he'd never be on a team.
That was the 2021-2022 season.
Elf returned to the NBA This season to play 7 games for the Pets. Notched 19 assist in a single game! They were completely ravaged by injury and Pels felt compelled to bring him in in part to help the team but no doubt make Phil Look stupid (as if he needs much help) and amplify Nalod's pettiness.
The Hornets just signed him to a 10 day contract. I don't expect much nor might he. No truth to the rumor that Nalod paid the hornets to once again bring him up to embarrass PhilC. Petty as I am, I don't have that kind of money to waste on trivial matters like this.
But I am petty enough to take 5 minutes to write this and thank elf for the effort to keep going and perpetuate both his career one more time, and perpetuate PhilC embarrassment just a nudge further. Good luck Elf!!!!
Growing up with Darrell Walker and Rory Sparrow and Trent Tucker, I could never hate on him. Wish him the best. I. Hope he has a lot of his earnings saved up and can retire soon, or buy a car dealership like Starks.
