Did you see the Hawks get 6 offensive rebounds in one possession in the final minute or two of the first quarter? That's a huge defensive problem we have as a team. Thibs better get on theses guys. We need to do a better job. Any dreams of a deep playoff run can be put to rest if we cannot box out. Simple as that
So what was the crowd chanting about Trae? I couldn’t tell from my league pass feed but it did seem to amuse both Breen and Clyde

I get it, some of us want more and are eyes focus more on the negative than the positive. If anything, the team has grit. fight and we have a closer! I know some won't give a shit, but last night was the 2nd of a bsck to back....
I think that's "comparison" not expectations but that surely works here...Its like 3 guys. Knicks have best record since the 70s and we got minutes police, we got "feels like a loss"
This is a really good team and a squad with grit. They dont quit and we have one of the best finishers in the game. Brunson's late 3s have been wildly clutch.
You are correct....good catch....Expectations of the season ( I've seen some people amd writers say it's ECF or bust which is asinine) and Comparison to last year's team that has robbed the joy for some. This is year one for this current team and all we have done is get off to the best start since the championship years.
The 2 teams ahead of us in the east have been together way longer than we have been....are there some warts? Absolutely....but we have at least a 3-4 years window....looking forward to the ride
I can't do game threads live. The negativity is like having drunk uncle in the room yelling at the TV.
Sure not every game turns out well. Good teams have bad nights. Good teams lose at home to lessor teams. Look it up. Not just knicks.
ATL came in playing pretty good ball. Kat made one real bad move but ATL looked gassed also and in the end we won.
Good teams find ways to win on off nights. This was one of them.
Trae the Villian.........
The kid is actually better than I thought he'd turn out. I thought given his slight build injuries would get the best of him.
That he comes to MSG and mostly thrives has earned my respect. A good villain makes games more fun. Reggie Miller made the indy rivalry more fun. We need more of this. Guys that don't like each other.
If you can't back it up then you a chump. Trae mostly does vs. knicks.
IF all one has (PhilC) is to get on ass about a bald spot on his hair then try harder.
I hate losing to a villain, but all the better when we win. If not, respect the opponent. Hawks played a good game and kept clawing back. By the end both teams were a bit punch drunk. Quinn Snyder is a good coach. His teams rarely roll over.
