Knicks · Elite Test - Knicks Cavs - 7PM ESPN/MSG (page 1)

I know we are short players- but at some point, if we can’t beat the other elite teams in the league, we have to acknowledge we are pretenders, and not contenders.

My gamepicker this year is awful - I won last year, but this year I can’t figure this team out. I don’t see how we win this game after our struggles against winning teams and on the back of back to backs - especially with our laggard performance last night.

Hope we win.

Knicks got their work cut out for them

martin @ 2/21/2025 1:42 PM
Ugh, Josh

ramtour420 @ 2/21/2025 1:57 PM
We are not going to be winning against elite teams with any degree of sureness until we can consistently win with our passing. When we shoot lights out it can actually lull us into a false sence of greatness. Yes, we are great at ISO but that cannot be relied on exclusively for consistency.

True lol

You say the team is lulled into this sense of greatness or the fan?

I'm kind of hoping for the following...

- Hunter having a career year in ATL moves to Cleveland is not fully comfortable and his #s regress significantly.
- LaVert has had his moments against Knicks historically (happy he is gone) and Niang is a pain in ass who I don't have to watch on Cavs

A big worry is Cavs are still seeking revenge (particularly Mobley/Allen) for what happened in playoffs a few years ago.

Maybe Hart injury slowly turns into Hart off bench and either Duece/Precious in starting unit.

I guess tonight we probably see both (assuming OG out).

It's possible Deuce with his shooting and ability to move his feet (guarding Garland) could be a better starting option vs Cavs.

Go time!

I predict victory. we're in their heads. Will be easier with OG but FWIW Precious seems to play better when OG is out

martin @ 2/21/2025 2:47 PM
Still kinda wish Precious was more of a bruiser for whatever reason.

Release the deuce

He should be loose

Yesterday’s performance was extremely important and hopefully his confidence carry’s over. We will need deuce to have a good game, if we plan on winning. Huk will also be a key player off the bench.

Ummm, pretty sure LeVert and Niang are on the Hawks now

That was fast

VDesai @ 2/21/2025 6:17 PM
Ok no Hart but we got OG. Means we go to the ultra spacing 5 out lineup with Deuce starting i hope
martin @ 2/21/2025 6:18 PM
OG starting.

Deuce or Precious?

The team, the staff and most problematic would be if Thibs adapted that attitude. I have heard him mention our great offensive stats during interviews and even some defensive ones.

The fans I don't really care about because we love our team no matter what and mainly because we cannot change or influence anything
