This offseason was worse than Kemba + EF.

After getting repeatedly SA'd by the top teams, it feels like we're not even "mid" but, yeah, that's what we are.

37-45 (2021-22).....37-20 (this year)....I see what you mean

I wonder what % of Knicks and Wolves fans would undo the damage.
Clean @ 2/23/2025 3:23 PM
People might not want to admit it but we also miss Randles playmaking. He was a bull that required teams to double. Jrue was never going to hold him single coverage.

TRASH PERFORMANCE ALL AROUND --- fake run included.

Wouldn’t go that far, but I’m wondering what the FO could have done with 5 first rounders. Instead of one of the biggest overpays in NBA history. Hope Bridges delivers in the playoffs, but it’s looking that way as of now.

We went from window open, to window slammed shut. IMO. Which is correct.

Hartenstein was unbelievably important, the front office needed to lock him up midseason, had they offered the same contract it would have gotten done.

DDV injured, but offered more toughness and better spacing because of his catch and shoot ability. That was largely the identity of last years team, out working other squads.

KAT - is just a pussy. The fact that he isn’t down on the block punishing Tatum and lingering on the 3point line is a joke. He’s constantly whining and playing for the foul instead of the bucket.

My understanding is that Knicks offered I-Hart the max they were allowed and he took bigger deal.

He is missed greatly because he did all the little stuff that Kat ignores.

Donte was a great spark but also a highly overrated defender --- I would welcome him back.

I don't view Kat as a pussy but he sure as hell doesn't care enough about D and careless fouls/mistakes.

This is fair. Randle would exploit size mismatches and pass better out of doubles than KAT. KAT is a better overall scorer and has been stronger on the boards and the 3 point shooting has at times made the offense impossible to defend.

And his elbows and lamb chop shots

Sadly, I have to agree. I thought Bridges would make us elite but he clearly hasn't. I don't know if he doesn't know how to fill the role of a third scorer, his personality or what. Bottom line is you can only conclude that he's not been worth what we gave up.

Bridges has to play in a high tempo ball player movement system - he can score in a number of ways but standing around watching Jalen in 1/2 court isn't playing to his strengths.

You see this type of comeback almost every night in the NBA.

Hardest thing watching is seeing Luke Muddafuggin Kornet looking like Bill Russell against us.

Can we trade Bridges and OG for Randle and DDV?

Minnesota sure would.

Pretenders

I’m sorry but I know how much we want to make Bridges happen… He ain’t.

And Thibs, thanks for the memories but we need to move on.

This team, after all the moves, has better pieces but worse heart and effort. Last year it was so easy to root for this team. This year is so uninspiring half of the time, even in some wins.

And aim through with their “we know we are better than this, we just have to prove it” media responses. You’ve had many times to do so and you keep being embarrassed by the elite. You are just pretenders.

Brunson pretty much carried the run though - he was zoned in and then we took him out and went ice cold.

For me, this rings true. Too much ISO stuff and not enough spacing and cutting. Relying on KAT and Brunson talent too much.

If he's coming back he wasn't hurt in the 1st place - Kat always wincing about something.
