Despite being highly pissed off and highly disappointed in the above stats I still think we can turn that tide.
If we can fix sh*t down the stretch all the pressure will be on those teams to crush us and if we can keep games close we could steal a series. Not looking likely but we have enough talent to play these teams tight (something just missing effort/rotation wise).
Man, I miss Knicks basketball.

37-45 (2021-22).....37-20 (this year)....I see what you mean
Todd dying on Julius island.
You took that too literal, LL.
That offseason was an absolute fucking disaster. But not one that gutted the cupboards, and painted us into a corner.
What do you mean? We have TJ Warren and Mitch coming next week or so. Our cup is overflowing.

Bro overrated. No fire, no heart, no sense of urgency. Why is he not furious with himself?

Deuce makes a huge difference on the team D- he gets into peoples grill and Mikal doesn't

Bridges should be crashing the boards with his length, wingspan. Too much spectating. I was against benching Bridges, for Deuce, but not anymore. Mitch in the 2nd unit, might get enough offensive rebounds to give Bridges more open looks from 3.
ToddTT@ 2/23/2025 4:24 PM
We have nothing to lose in trying different lineups.
If Matt Ryan starts the next game, I'm not blinking a fucking eye.

Why would we switch lineups when we are 37-13 versus the field sans OKC BOS CLE?
This team is really good but clearly a 2nd tier team. Mikal and OG duo is underperforming to a degree where I think we go big game hunting using them + Hart in the offseason. This team is close but has clear holes on defense, 3rd option, and bench.
All that said, look at Cleveland last two years and this year with same team. There are other ways to get over the hump too (moves on the margins/coaching changes etc)

Bridges lacks the killer instinct the other Nova boys have. We just assumed he had it.

Game threads are like kicking the dog to vent out frustration.
One thing missing and thats recognizing Boston and Clev are really good. We are not. That does not mean was suck. That does not mean we stand pat either. Nalod tells you some teams do better than expected. That was us last year and Thibs COY year. This year its Clev. Y'all don't respect how good these teams are.
SergioNYK@ 2/23/2025 6:38 PM
That was extremely disheartening and depressing. I know we struggled against these elite teams all season but I really thought we would at the very least keep it close and earn some respect. Celtics are just at another level. And they are a bad match up.
Most disappointed in KAT. For the first time this season the term "soft" came into my head with him. Cause he played soft to start this game. Got beat for rebounds by Luke fucking Kornet and didn't even try to contest on defense or get out on KP for those threes. Couldn't even back down Holiday on that play either. KAT at Center just seems unplayable against these top teams. We need rim protection and someone willing to do the dirty work and run out on shooters and protect the paint. I know I'm picking on KAT and I know he got it going in the second half but that was a classic flukey run where Boston fell asleep and took their foot off the brake. Once we got too close they turned it up again and blew us out as I expected. I do like that we fought and kind of made a game of it but I cannot consider this a morale victory. Boston was never in any danger of losing this game.
Also disappointed in Bridges. Did absolutely nothing in this game. Set the tone early in the game by missing open shots, being scared to shoot and just not playing with any urgency or motor. You have to bring your A game against this team and we just coasted. Look he will never ever justify what we gave up for him but he has to play better and he can play better. A lot with him seems mental. He seems too content being in the background when he needs to be a lead singer.
Disappointed in Thibs as well. Didn't have the team ready to play. We don't have any resolve when we get punched early against these elite teams. That's on the Captain too. Too many lapses defensively as well especially off timeouts and inbound plays. We just don't seem comfortable on defense and we are 57 games in. But Celtics are just a bad match up. Tatum and Brown are tough and then you have KP who is that unicorn who can score inside and out. White is also super underrated and killed our momentum.
Kudos to the bench. Cam and Shamet played well in that second quarter. Deuce was awful.
I also hate how we were all lovey dovey after the game hugging and laughing with them. We are never going to beat that team until we learn how to hate them.

I’m getting to that point. Bridges, with his terrible play, horrible shot and ridiculous attitude has become my least favorite player.
Bridges is soft. His trademark is the middy fadeaway. But listen, I could totally live with if he had played defense like he has shown us he can for short stretches.
ToddTT@ 2/23/2025 6:59 PM
Just so today is not a complete waste... enjoy.
And keep your Pythagorean siphons clean.

you see it in his post game interviews. the most low energy person ever. makes OG appear outgoing
he needs to go imo before he walks for nothing after next season
