This is simply a must win game. For the psyche of the players and team and coach.
A loss here, and we’ll be looking back at this being a turning point, and not in a good way.
Easier to list who is playing

Philly should have blown it up and they need. Embiid may need surgery- he should have it. Their season is lost.
Not for nothing but Philly made the opposite bet that Dallas did with Doncic?
Maybe not as easily stark with regards to injury but Philly should have traded Embiid 2 years ago to maximize return? Now they stuck. And they got PG to keep him company in the trainers room.

Problem is Embiid is under contract through 2029 and has $192 million guaranteed on its way if you count his player option that he will exercise. No one wants that contract especially if they know he may even be retiring.

They’re in deep doo doo. I just looked at their roster and cap #s. They basically have three guys taking up the bulk of their money, and then everyone is an everyone else. And two of those three are players that I wouldn’t touch with a 10 foot pole- Embiid and PG. They really should trade Maxey as it’s their only move, try to get back multi players or picks and try to hope like hell PG retires.

It gets worse: https://basketball.realgm.com/nba/draft/...
Fucking OKC owns everything.
2025 first round draft pick to Oklahoma City
Philadelphia's 1st round pick to Oklahoma City protected for selections 1-6 in 2025, 1-4 in 2026 and 1-4 in 2027; if Philadelphia has not conveyed a 1st round pick to Oklahoma City by 2027, then Philadelphia will instead convey its 2027 2nd round pick to Oklahoma City [Philadelphia-Oklahoma City, 12/8/2020]
Few years ago, admit it guys, some of you were staphucking for Embiid.
The old "if he wants out and asks for a trade".
Philly has squandered a lot under the HInkie/Morey era over the last decade.
Who said PG13 would retire? He just signed a 4 year deal!
The tank is on! Problem with that is that losing is unacceptable tonight. Its time to bounce back bigtime. No blowing the lead and recovering in OT

This.
Their attempt at a Big Three has left them with large low value contracts.
Their injury status for this game had 90% probability when the season started.
The Process needs to be thrown out. Along with their center that has not been able to walk in a couple of years.

Yeah, looking at Philly's situation makes you appreciate what you have.
Don't worry guys a 5 to 7 game win streak vs bad teams and everyone will forget how far from elite we are. It always happens. I feel weird when everyone thinking championsips and I am not thinking we can get past the second round. I appreciate how good we are now but 2nd round exits do nothing for me. I want to feel that joy of your fav team winning it all. Right now I think the Fever are closer to making that a reality.
Its only one shit Team. We play Memphis on Friday who is a top 5 team. Brutal stretch.
RIP Al. I hope they give the crowd a chance to show their love and appreciation.
Ohhhhhhhhh!!! HUK DELIGHT!!
