The essence of OG on this sequence
There were several plays where OG was a different animal on offense too, relishing the moment and wanting the opportunity
Hart was solid as always but there times tonight and w Memphis where he was a liability on offense. When playing in the half court, if you pass the ball to Josh if he doesn’t have a decent line of attack to the r8m you just forfeited several seconds of the shot clock. He needs to take And make shots like earlier in the season
Rim gets bigger for og in crunch time (Jalen too but we know that)
And as much as I liked rj and iq og delivers more than both of them in key moments

Spacing issues. Will say, that Deuce, Cam, Sham lineup has been pretty solid of late.
Deuce finally moving great.
Last game the full court master blaster dunk BUT more importantly he's moving great again defensively.
Just saw stat over last 8 games for all players closely contesting over 60 shots - Deuce has best defensive FG% in league (31%) on over 80 FG attempts against.
Need him to stay fully healthy down the stretch because right now he is playing legit minutes.
Kudo's to Mitch and OG as well plus Mr Clutch --- actually thought Kat tried on D down the stretch (seemingly for the 1st time all year).

People don’t realize McBride has had a bed knee all year. Just another reason Thibs has had to ride the starters. Deuce is finally healthy and moving around like the top shelf athlete he is.
Best part of our bench is McBride and Mitch. Getting them healthy and playing well changes the trajectory of this squad

It's like a virus or something because Deuce, KAT and Hart have all had this Runner's Knee issue this season. All of them have missed some time and then tried to play though it, but you're seeing a difference in their play.

Precious got Mitch bombed
Playing Precious and Mitch together seems disastrous.
Shamet has quietly been picking up his game and shooting like 45% from 3 over a good chunk of games. Also him and Precious are polar opposite roles so it's not really one or the other.
That OG 4th quarter performance was one of the best I've ever seen from a defender. He might be the only guy in the whole league who can dominate a 4th quarter like that on defense.
Mitch getting backup 5 minutes, which leaves Precious to play backup 4. Teams LOVE to see a lineup with Precious and Hart where they can switch off and double any time KAT or Jalen has the ball.
Knicks need to dictate, not let it happen the other way. By playing small and leaving Deuce out there, Spo kept Ware off the floor. Ware was killing us.
nice to see Mitch back out there and OG playing DPOY defense again because it's been missing alot this year if we're being honest.
Come playoff time hopefully we can run a lineup out there with Mitch, OG, and Deuce, that would be a great defensive team. With Brunson and whoever else for scoring.

Precious is confounding to me. He has been given chances and has moments and games where he is very soid, and then he tries to do something on offense that is way out of his bag and role and it ends up disasterous.
I'd guess he's now in the sporadic match-up territory cause of his lack of consistency and TO's and wild offensive takes. Shame.
Shamet hitting 3s is important. I'm semi-impressed by his finishing as well. The confidence in his shot seems back a bit. I just think he's to small to play big wing and hold up defensively.

Was it ToddTT who said Prescious was the best worse player, or how was it phrased, or was it about someone else.
I like Prescious. But then you see some of the numbers and he doesn’t seem good or maybe it’s a matchup or something.
I would love for him to start, and move Bridges to the bench, or maybe Hart since the line up #s seem to indicate you can’t have both Prescious and Hart out there at the same time.
Just something to take some of the minutes loads off guys.
I said it on a game thread - how do you explain to someone that Precious is amazing and the worst player in the NBA all at the same time. The guy has great range and athleticism. Has great feet to defend smaller guys on the perimeter and makes amazing recovery blocks. Occasionally a dangerous finisher who makes a nice shot in the paint or some crazy up and under. At the same time throws up some of the worst bricks you will see and plays like someone who hasn't ever been coached or taught to play basketball. Problem is you don't really need to guard him because he can't do anything consistently. As good he is defensively, there are games where is boxed out far too easily and can't make an impact. Its hard to understand. There's time where he almost can approximate OG Anunoby's defensive role and plays with a Josh Hart motor....and then there's times where he doesn't do much at all.

It was the Toronto coach who said Precious is just good enough to get you fired

It's a good take and probably what Toronto also saw. He has potential and all the tools to get to a different level but just isn't putting it together.
He may not have the bball IQ and consistent effort or something to put it all together.
At $6M he is OK off the bench to fill in spots.

He's an optimal 3rd stringer IMO. He can have some very positive games and impact but as an every night guy his deficiencies kind of outweigh everything else. He's too small to be a true force at backup C and his lack of offense at the 4 makes him pretty much unplayable there.
