So this seems to be only for regular season. Nothing burger

GKFv2 @ 3/3/2025 7:10 PM
He's worth a flier.

We need to find some diamonds in then rough because we have very little flexibility moving forward.

Nobody does. I asked ChatGPT, he said... "beats the f*** out of me". ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

There are a limited number of games a 2 way player could be active for. Toppin was out of games for example.

Must be pro-rated for the end of the year.

Beachamp is a good sized wing - interesting get. Its a basically a test run for next year. He is still young

VDesai @ 3/3/2025 7:49 PM
That said I think the Bucks, being apron strapped, gave him every chance to make the rotation

With Beauchamp and Wright, Knicks have 2 Bucks rejects now

Bucks also gave up on Donte, and look how that turned out for us 😏

Odd picture. This kid is 24? The Jersey around his midsection looks paunchy.
Like he wearing some body padding. Looks like a 45 year old who dyes his hair.

Has played well against the Knicks

Hope he plays well for them!

they couldnt really pay him but he developed well there. Then GS couldnt pay him and we pounced. Donte showed he was an NBA player. Marjon has been very bad in the league. Bucks fans "good luck, he's got no NBA skills on offense" so...

Following high school, Beauchamp trained with Chameleon BX, a training program based in San Francisco, to prepare for the 2021 NBA draft. After over six months with the program, he returned to Washington due to the COVID-19 pandemic and began reconsidering his college options.[20] In March 2021, Beauchamp joined the basketball team at Yakima Valley College in his hometown, being drawn by his friendship with players on the team. In his college debut on April 20, 2021, Beauchamp had nine points and nine rebounds in a 99–90 loss over Treasure Valley, and felt lingering respiratory limitations.[21] On June 1, he recorded a career-high 50 points and 11 rebounds in a 107–106 overtime loss to Treasure Valley.[22] As a freshman, Beauchamp averaged 30.7 points, 10.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game through 12 games, leading the Northwest Athletic Conference in scoring.[23][24] He was additionally a large part of helping the Yaks win the Northwest Athletic Conference championship in 2022.[25] He drew attention from Washington, Washington State, Oregon, Texas Tech, Arkansas and LSU, but opted to forgo attending a Division I university due to concerns about his amateur status.[26]

He then went to the Gleageue "IGNITE" team. Kid was born in Washington state. His Father was the first American Indian decent mayor of Yakima.

Was 24th pick in 2022 and is 24 years old. Knicks need guys like this that perhaps got caught in trades/opportunity squeeze/team cap trap and perhaps needed an opportunity/path. Or as said "diamond in the rough" type to fill out our bench going forward. This scope is not just for this year.

For these guys to continue the dream opportunity is a super valuable commodity. Submit to the way of the Thibian and perhaps you earn a spot and eventually get paid. This is a tough ass business these guys are in.

This is why I root for Shamet to succeed. He is hanging in there and fought his way back from injury into Thibs rotation. This after two years of decline in his game. Thibs is giving him a shot and he is making good on it. Hell of an accomplishment actually. The work that goes into it on and off the court is intense. Not just him, but any player from the fringe. Im not advocating for Shamet, Im rooting for him as I do for all our guys.

I'm trying to find a bright side. You're usually the positive one here. Do you want me to say that Johnny Davis and MarJon are both bum juice and I wish we could've kept Toppin and Ryan instead? 😂
