I really hate Indiana. And at the same time they scare me. Not just because of last year's loss to them, but all the Knick's history with that organization. Maybe a second highest rivalry over the last 30 years to the Heat. (The Bulls rivalry faded after Jordan retired) So while I hope we play them and win, I may regret hoping for that.
As for which team is the best match up. I'm not really sure. Instinct says Detroit, but that may be because they are the new kids on the block.
Kind of indifferent. I think we can beat all these teams and would be pretty confident in each. I'd rather not play Giannis. I'd like to get revenge on Indy. Pistons are inexperienced but gave us fits all year.
I want revenge against the Hicks!
Indiana would be a tough out but I want no parts of Detroit. That would be a brutal 7 game series.
I voted Indiana but I wouldn’t be upset seeing the Bucks.
Cade Cunningham has no playoff experience. I pick Detroit because I believe that inexperience can be exploited, with the right gameplan.

If you put it that way...

Completely agree. Either Indy or Milwaukee both teams will be 6 or 7 game series but we can beat them. Pistons are a problem.
Fuck this bullshit, at full health we go 5 games and win no matter who these chumps are.
If we can maintain our 3 seed and rest up a bit and no injuries the most prepared coach in the business will have these guys ready to destroy. Yes, all teams at full health. Bring it.
Cade Cunningham will get a master class in playoff pressure and perhaps one day will lead his team to some success but no way does this fan prescribe to this pussification fear because the Detroit Fucking pistons are improved this year. Kudos to Bickerstaff and the Alaskan Assasain Trajan Langdon on their new found path to respectable street. Maybe Im wrong and they mess us up a bit but bring them on! Bring on Indy and send them and that smiley Halliburton home. Bring on Giannis and send him home to BKN were he can start fresh and build a nice rivalry in NYC. We build this lead without Mitch and we'll keep it without Brunson. Cap't Clutch will get his 65 games in and ready to go. All the while this team is getting sharper under the Thibian master to the conf. finals. I don't know where knicks get to this year but I'll be entertained!
All of a sudden the vibes are that we cant beat the Pistons...
Generally want to face the team with the least playoff pedigree.

Young, hungry, tall athletic teams give us problems. It is a match up problem

I don't get the pay for play version of The Post but it says "a western scout says Knicks would prefer to see Detroit, they are not ready".

They have had our number this year and we've beat up Milwaukee and Indiana pretty good. That said, there are benefits to playing a team as green as DET.
I honestly don't have a preference. I fully expect us to get past either Detroit or Indi or the Bucks. I do think that we cannot get past the Celtics unless we learn to run out to the three at all times, (like 100 percent of the time), box out and run non-iso plays. Same for the the Cavs.
We could be swept by any of these teams. But I have no expectations, so I can't lose.
I can't lose!!!
Bwahhh haaa haaaaaaa!!!!!!
Still, I'd rather watch Giannis, so...
We've seen what we look like without the Cap. We are not getting out of the first round without Brunson being and playing at 100%.

And he can only do so much by himself- so Thibs better not grind everyone else into useless paste before the playoffs.

Remember when the Nets had only 1 player with playoff experience (Kidd) and then got to back to back NBA Finals?

I don’t know what was funnier.
The part where you wrote, if we can “rest up a bit” or having “the most prepared coach in the business.”
