Knicks have 1 more game against Boston and Cleveland each against whom, as everyone is aware, they are 0-6, and not only that but it hasn't even been close except for the last Cavs game, it has been downright embarrassing. With a handful of games left and the Knicks back at full strength, they need a victory against one or both so as to not be behind the psychological 8-ball going into the playoffs. If they can manage both victories, they can ride into the playoffs on a high and the prior 0-6 will not be relevant.

We don't need a statement. We are basically locked into our spot. We just need to get into the playoffs healthy. One late season win when none of the 3 teams have anything left to play for isn't going to make a statement.
