These guys needs all the rest they can get. So I really like this move. This is not something I would expect from Thibs. So hopefully he makes a few more changes that can help the team.
Good. We also dont need to show Detroit anything a week before facing them.

Guys like him are what’s wrong with nba. So he hit a bunch of wide open threes. His plus minus was still zero. He’s 9 feet tall and only had 4 rebounds. He’s only played half a season again and I’m sure will miss playoffs games because of a sinus infection.
Kp or no KP you still can not beat Celtics

Not really fair statement. In a one possession game a 0 plus minus doesn’t tell you very much. He’s the sole reason they weren’t -12 or more. His clutch 3s crushed our momentum and single-handedly closed a deficit. He played good defense and made Brunson’s life miserable on offense and defense. After switches, Brunson had to guard KP in the high post (and stood his ground), but KP isn’t symbolic of what’s wrong with the game. He is a unicorn. 7’3 and can get hot from 28 feet? I don’t hate KP. I just want to figure out an answer that doesn’t leave Tatum and Brown free reign over the paint.

Yep, true. KP doesn't matter. Celts won a ring with him sitting and have a better record without him (30-8) than with him (29-13).
We've got bigger worries than the glass unicorn.

Celtics made what has turned out to be the correct assessment, that even though KP will only play 50% of games, having him available for those 50% to be your 5th option at the cost they paid gives you enough of an advantage over the year that its worth it.
For most other teams, it won't work (and he proved that at his other stops).

That's a great perspective. KP works when he is a last piece you don't have to count on but could otherwise be icing on the proverbial cake.

Good point! Tatum is a top 5 player at 6-10 and plays point forward. Massive advantage. Our best player is 6-1 and not an athletic freak. In the immortal words of the great Doris Burke "little guys rarely carry teams as its best players to chips". Steph Curry comes was close as any and he has had Durant for two, Klay and dray for 4. Thats 4 HOFers! Old argument but my point is Celtics are freaking stacked!
