OG just blows the layup. Holy shit this is pathetic
VDesai @ 4/11/2025 10:00 PM
Knicks are total pretenders
NYStateOfMind @ 4/11/2025 10:02 PM
Thibs not smart enough to put OG on Garland. Crushing spirit loss. Can't even win a gimme up 23pts. Pathetic with no heart. Disgusting.

We love giving up 3's in general. They come throughout the whole game.

Clean @ 4/11/2025 10:04 PM

We do this in the playoffs and Hart is not hitting them shots we coming home fast.

Dont get this one today. Very few people made shots in the 4th quarter - Hart made one of the bigger ones a 3. Deuce literally missed every single thing he took and he took a lot. Self serving agenda post from a vapid Knicks analyst.

ToddTT @ 4/11/2025 10:15 PM
Cavs fans are yucking it up. As they should.

This is not just a today thing this is an every day thing. Bigs on Hart makes it so we must hit shot if we want to win because the paint is clogged while they ignore him and have their bigs roam. The difference between that amazing offense we had early in the season and this crap now is teams learned to put bigs on Hart and clog the paint. He will shoot us out of a game more often than he will win us a game with his shooting. Teams are willing to take those odds. The post is pointing out we had nothing to lose tonight as we are sure of our spot. Why not try something new that may help in the playoffs. Instead we do what we always do and learn nothing new.

Clean @ 4/11/2025 10:33 PM

If not for facing the Magic when they were filled with injuries that record would be even worse.
WP76 @ 4/11/2025 10:34 PM
I've never seen a 50 win team going into the playoffs with so little energy or optimism.

Think this is the most overrated narrative on the team. People act like Deuce would come in and hit 40 pct of 3s. He has been injured and inconsistent most of the year while Hart has been one of the most effective players. The Internet narrative of scapegoating him for all our offensive troubles when the only other options are obviously inferior is out of control.

Today they left him open for 3. He didnt think, he made the shot.

He didnt cause the extended brick fest from Payne and Deuce early in the 4th. He didnt cause Mitch to miss a dunk and OG to miss layups. He didnt cause Bridges to miss about 4 open 3s. He didnt injure Bryunson's ankle and cause him to play at about 70 pct of his effectiveness.

You are missing the point. The point is not saying he is guaranteed to hit 40%. The point is other teams won't stick a big on him. That means the big is on KAT and the paint is open.

VDesai @ 4/11/2025 10:44 PM
The point is if he doesnt hit a high percentage of 3s, teams will stick a big on Deuce too. And Deuce cant beat you off the bounce or initiate the way Hart can. Its not some magic bullet.
NYStateOfMind @ 4/11/2025 10:48 PM
This is a bad take, as deuce hit 60% on 3s and Shamet hit 46% tonight on better volume and Hart only takes them if there is no open guy to pass to. Even without KAT they should have won this game.

This team has not closed out 4th quarters well during the last few weeks and often give pts back in other quarters. This is now twice in a row the Knicks have blown 15 or more leads, after winning I think 71 in a row.

Found more info on how bad this percentage is.

Against .500 teams or better, this year’s Knicks will finish 15-23 (0.395 win%). This is the lowest among all 50-win teams since 2003 and the only instance of a below .400 win%.

SergioNYK @ 4/11/2025 11:38 PM
Cannot lie and say I'm not concerned. This is not how you want to finish the season and go into the playoffs. The vibes just don't feel right.

Cannot lose at home up 23. I don't care what the situation is! Started 11/15 from three and finished 5/26.
Outrebounded by 14. No adjustments on Garland. Outscored 30 to 16 in the fourth. Should we go on?

I'm giving the Cap a pass because he's was out a month and he's clearly still shaking off the rust. Shame on anyone trashing him! He's earned trust and I know he will be ready to go next weekend. Also giving OG a pass cause he was due for a down game but that missed lay up at the end hurt the soul.

Definitely cannot give Bridges or Thibs a pass. I hate to put it all on one guy cause it's never about just one player but a big reason we went 0-8 against the top 3 teams was Bridges not bringing it at either end. He needs to do better and take some pride defensively. That's 2 nights in a row he's been abused. This is a guy who made an All Defense team and we've seen him have games where he stopped the opposing scorer and won the game for us. He needs to have a big playoffs.

On the bright side, good to see Mitch play 33 minutes. He had his moments and you see his impact. We need him!
Good to see Shamet stay hot from three too. His shooting off the bench is going to be huge.

It’s honestly demoralizing. At this point I only see two ways this can work out: we go to the finals in the most unlikely way or we get eliminated in the first round.

This team is probably the most uninspiring 50-game team ever. Other than them wearing the blue and orange, I’m having a terrible time believing in them. It’s just so weird.

Deuce went what 0/3 or 0/4 in the 4th? Shamet was great. This was in response to this constant clamoring to bench Josh Hart for Deuce. People act like they have the Knicks solve. Knicks couldn't grab a board or a loose ball and do we think that situation would be improved by taking Josh Hart off the floor for longer stretches?

Moreover Deuce has been injured/erratic for most of the year and now teams know he can't finish at the rim - so the exploitation of Josh's shooting will just flip to exploiting something else.

If we exit early in the 1st round it might be time to move on from Thibs. His substitution patterns have been questionable.

And put JB on who? He can’t guard most NBA scorers.
