Good on Thibs for keeping Payne in longer than he usually does. That is all I ask for. Coach the game. The same way I said during some games Obi should have stayed in over Randle.

Great win! That's how you protect homecourt! Super proud of the heart and never give up attitude and poise! Not going to lie I was very concerned down 8 entering that fourth quarter but I knew we'd make a run but never ever expected to see a 21-0 run! Definitely something I'll never forget! The Garden was so loud!!
Cam Payne, I LOVE YOU! We needed someone to respond and make big shots and you answered the call! He's a fun player!
The Cap started off a little slow and couldn't get a bucket to fall in the first half but that's why he is one of the very best and a future Hall of Famer! When it's clutch time, he just turns ot up a notch like only the greatest have done and led his team to a win! But holy shit the zebras do not give him the respect he deserves! He should've had close to 45 in this game! Def left 10 FT attempts out there.
KAT played tough and made some key defensive plays. That's what is so frustrating about him cause he's capable of playing a lot better on defense. Another guy who gets no calls!! And was Suni or Sweeney sitting courtside cause OG carried us on his back in that first half and he pretty much shutdown Cade Cunningham! OG is a nightmare to score on!
Hart was all over the place in that 4th quarter. Bridges was quiet but hit a big one at the end. Mitch did his thing and that put back dunk was nasty!!
Deuce was bad. We NEED him to be better! Shamet was awful and I knew Thibs wasn't going to go back to him. Cannot play that poorly at both ends in limited minutes. He was playing so well so it's disappointing.
Pistons played well and had it. Inexperienced and they got nervous. I couldn't believe Tobias Harris! Scored more points in that first half then the entire series with Philly last year! No way he plays this well again! Good effort from them but we did enough to get this first one. This won't be an easy series. Got to make adjustments on defending their shooters.

Yes. Early in the year there were times when Brunson played with Payne and it was very effective. We didnt use that lineup at all over the last 40 games - and then we used it tonight and had the best quarter of the season.
