Leon needs to make another trade

Knicks have done well closing out series on the road, I think we'll finish it off tonight.
Won't be surprised with a win and wouldn't be surprised with a loss. This team hasn't earned any trust or confidence if we're being honest.
This series has been such a slog. I can't believe we have to watch another one.
I have a feeling this plays out like Philly game 6 where we come out hot, somehow blow it, and then recover, and nearly blow it, but hang on.

Series is tight. We not as good as our record and a few games less we drop in seeding. Likewise pistons got better thru the season.
Its is a "Slog". Its actually a really good one but not fun to watch.
Cade is the fresh face and really can't do wrong while Jalen is a "Ball Hog" and KAT is "Soft" when we lose. We not on Thibs ass for not yelling like Bickerstaff like he lazy? I'll pass judgement if we get thru this series. Fact is Detroit is playing really well and should be given more credit.
Not that like what is going on any less but reading he emotionality of the UK faithful here it tilts me to be more pragmatic.
reminds me of the Philly series last year. No lead is safe. Fucks sake knicks nearly pulled it out Tuesday with the OG three to make it a close. Im not firing thibs for not calling a time out to get jalen back in.

Pretty much.
Although I trust them more when back gets closer to the wall, then I do when they have a little cushion. I think JB gets it done tonight.

Fact is, Knicks were supposed to have some kind of "WingStop" magic, like they were going to be an elite defensive team. However, I see Detroit playing better defense, especially rim protection, than we are. I think in the offseason, they have to reevaluate which positions they want their defense to come from. If they are going to have KAT in there, we need a shot blocking PF that can do *something* (anything) offensively as well. Need an athletic long body in there that can block shots, and at least run to the hoop, catch a pass and dunk it.

Yeah that sounds about right
With Philly last year it felt like we were playing a 3 seed stuck in a 7 seed's body. With Embiid coming back late in the year they were a on a hot streak and were playing really well. It felt like whoever won that series was a real contender vs. Boston.
I'm not saying Detroit is not a good team, but with this series, we have a more talented core, and I think the majority of people would agree with that. Detroit has earned playing us close, but it still feels like we should've won this thing definitively. And worse yet, it doesn't feel like either team is realistically good enough to contend, so what is all this pain for?
Listen I'm still gonna root hard and I still have optimism that anything can happen vs. Boston, but these overall vibes have been dreadful. Getting past them in 5, even if every game was close, would at least have felt like we took care of business.
No game 7...let's not F around tonight.

The sign of an average team? Can't meet expectations (not closing out a home game).
Step up when backs against the wall. We have to be slapped a few times to wake up.

I don't think there's anything that could happen tonight that will surprise me.
Tight game like the first 5? Makes sense.
Knicks blow out Detroit to close out the series? Sure, I can see that.
Detroit blows out the Knicks to force game 7? Can see that too.
Brunson and KAT each score 50? They're our stars, we needed that!
Ausar Thompson scores 70? It's the Knicks, of course he fucking did
I'm drained and the first round ain't even over yet.
I think we can count on Brunson shooting better... but maybe instead he can try to be a playmaker this game and use his iso gifts when needed. I don't even mind if Detroit beats us tonight - but losing with hero ball and limited ball movement is just the worst IMO. 4 guys standing around the 3pt line while Brunson (who plays nearly the whole game) goes iso vs A.Thompson, Schroeder and whoever else they throw at him just seems like poor coaching.
Things I would love to see tonight:
Pick up the tempo right out the gate
Run some actions for Mikal to get him going early...on a great night, he has The ability to be our 2nd option if Kat or JB is off...
When Kat and Mitch share the court, run some high low action.. Kat high post and Mitch in the dunker spot ..
Start the 3rd quarter with a sense of urgency ..I think we lost every 3rd quarter....
Lastly, I know this aint going to happen, but Would love to see Shamet get some minutes...he was our best shooter the last handful of games. We can use his shooting and the gravity he creates running off pin downs....wish he got more of an extended leash thought this series...

You guys are putting forth a good effort with this chick BUT I really think we need Todd to drop some Piston cheerleader pics for good Knick mojo.
Todd?
