I didn't not understand the boo's toward Brunson. I don't recall him acting out the villain role to antagonize the boo's.
Sure he "flops" sometimes but more times that not he puts his body out there and takes the hit.
Its not like he smiling and working the crowd preening and disrespecting.
Fans were like MSG one we came out of covid and the series vs. ATL. Trae Young was the villain but I recall fans spitting on him and kind of over doing it like we ere locked up as a society. Oh yeah, we were.
Piston had a nice series and they should be happy with the turn around. But funny thing all three home games were losses for them.
I think some of the fans courtside were yapping it up with Mikal yelling "Go on home".
Anyone understand why Jalen got them boo's to begin game three and after?
Just fans being extra excited. That team sucked for a long time. They just wanted to support their team. It would have been the same for any other team's top player/leader. It wasn't about Brunson. That is my take

He’s the best player on the team and that’s what fanbases do sometimes. They tried to make him a rival for the series, and boy did he give them something to boo.
I think it manifested from Bickershit and his players calling Brunson a flopper. Then those idiots just took it and ran.
Bickerstaff took the Carlisle playbook from last year and brought it to its peak.
Control the ref narrative in the media
Foul Brunson up the court as much as possible and dare the refs to call it (with more Pressure since you have baited the media narrative).
Literally have your entire staff in the refs ears all game to continue to perpetuate the narrative.
Have your players play as much of a muck it up game as possible. Force the game ugly Riley style.
Almost worked!

That's a good take.
What's the line I constantly heard on the old Law & Order shows: "If the facts are on your side, pound the facts into the table. If the law is on your side, pound the law into the table. If neither the facts nor the law are on your side, pound the table."
Detroit went for the 3rd option. Or 4th.

LOL, I thought I was missing something. I was. They were being dumb.
Jalen is not Jah Dumb, or Ant Edwards preening and screaming. The dude was magnificent in the spotlight.
Bickerstaff did what he could. Feed the fans something to chew on.
Knicks won 3 of their 4 on their court. Maybe we can adopt them as our new home away from home.
Has Thibs ever discussed why he rarely if ever presses before the half court line?
