Knicks were a tough read down the end of the season. We "hung on" to the 3rd seed while Indy surged.
We were without the NBA's best closer in Brunson adn then had to get him back in his groove. Also we integrated Mitch back into the rotation. All the while perhaps the secret sauce is "we take steps backwards employing new schematics". True for players and the team as a whole. In other words Thibs might have been preparing the team for the playoffs in ways fans can't see. We call for his removal as he not maxing the team, meanwhile the team is steps ahead of us. WE focus on results, they focus looking forward. Fans have our job to whine and second guess results, coaches have theirs to anticipate. The players execute to the best of their ability.

not "WE" as I have been railing against those dumbasses all year (and I mean that with the most respect)

This team is dispelling the soft, and lack of grit lable most fans placed on them. You dont go 5-0 on the road in the playoffs and come back down 20, twice withoit grit and heart. Mikal has proved his worth an then some on the playoffs...

Yeah keep me out of that as well.
I rail against Bridges, but my contributions to the Fire Thibs thread are all: Shut this shit down

Bridges was inconsistent all year and his defense was often suspect. What he has shown is he has a different gear come post season and crunch time. KAT as well. To me the big hope I had going into this was those two showed they had some stones vs. Detroit and if they play that way vs. Boston we got a chance. KAT is the biggest most athletic guy out there. Bridges has shown having a finesse game does not indeed make you soft in any way

Anyone miss having broken-down old retreads on the third to last years of their long term albatross contracts which we would count down the days till they expired or we traded assets to be rid of them, on the team? I don't.

Noah?
Vin Baker?
Steve Francis?
Rolando Blackman?
Even Evan Fournier/Kemba Walker?

How refreshing to have a team full of players that actually are assets to the team!

I immediately thought of Vonleh when you listed Noah. I've blocked the other dude who was to lit for NY out.

I"m not sure how much we're built for anything these days. "Wingstop" ain't stopped shit in a long time. Frankly, I'm really not loving most of this starting squad. Kind of haven't from the jump. From the start I thought Bridges and OG are overrated and never wanted KAT. These guys are not athletic/fast enough to compete with the younger gazelles in the league. Just look at the Hawks game last week. That team is stacked with thoroughbreds and ran us out of the building. Just not liking this team's SL right now. I'd keep JB (in spite of his lack of D) because he's a leader and big time clutch, and Hart because he does everything without being a financial albatross. The other 3/5 of the SL, are on the block for me.

Yeah, I've retreated from this high. Back to not impressed. See prior post above this.

The sky is not falling. We are second place in the east (for now.). KAT is struggling but we can just see the season through and make adjustments in the offseason. It’s all about maximizing Brunson’s prime. If KAT is part of that, great, if not we move on. It was the same with Randle. Just have to keep trying different things. We were bad for so long it’s time to just enjoy having a sustainably good team even with some ups and downs.

Noticed SAC beat lakers and rockets of late. With Westbrook, DerRozen and Lavine thats a hell of a trio actually on paper.
They will have really good nights or string some together.
Knicks missed a lot of easy looks and Jalen going down was not a good thing of course.

Kat is "Embiid Light".....Similar game, just Peak Kat is not as good as peak Joel. Different is KAT smiles while Embiid is a misery.
My prediction was wroing but thats nothing new. I loved we Beat Boston and I suppose beating detroit was not the upset in hindsight. They are still on the rise!

its every fans right to whine and complain.
