KAT echoed this sentiment in his post game and also mentioned they beat DEN last year 2-0 in DEN then lost 2 at home and ended up winning in 7 (came back from down 20 in game 7 on the road). He said they don’t want to play with fire like that. Need to lock in for game 3.

She needs to be on TV and they need a Picture in Picture of her.
Instead tnt has that clown Reggie Miller who kind of resembles Adam silver
Josh Hart was the leading scorer in a playoff game!
We just game back from 20 on the road against the champs 2x in a row!!!
What?!?!??!?

Those final play replays are awesome and I hope Monica is the successor to Clyde. She just keeps getting better and better at her craft.
Monica has natural joy and fandom you can’t fake but also keeps her excitement in check and stays composed. You can see her physically keeping her excitement in check in these videos it’s awesome.

Waiting for another update

Absolute masterclass defense. I dog Thibs for this offense and I’ll give him all the credit in the world for this defense. It’s almost like he kept his aces hidden all year as to not reveal his cards.
I’ve got the same impression, which is brave considering he knew the talent was good enough to win in the season with a mediocre strategy. But it feels more like the Knicks are finally, FINALLY gelling at the right time.
That offense, though…

MSG for game 3 is going to be more electric than it’s been in a quarter century
I hope so, because at those ticket prices, only the really wealthy will be there.
found it hilarious that BOS intentionally went into the penalty just to make sure they could get Mitch off the floor. He doesnt have a block all series but what he does defensively just doesnt always show up in box scores. Mitch/OG/Mikal is just a terror defensively.

great pic. also raises a question I had. was Tatum looking to pass the ball out, or was he turned like that through sheer force of Mikal's block
I thought in real time he was trying to pass out
I thought he was taking the shot until the last second when he sensed the help defense collapsing on him, but was surprised Mika was so close and lost the ball.

How much of it is Thibs and how much of it is just having Robinson vs. Achiuwa/ Sims/ Hukporti?

On the replay you can see he locked eyes with Brown open for a 3 on the wingfor the catch and shoot. There was enough time to sink it if he made that pass. Mikal made a gamble and it paid off.

Agree 1,000,000%. She’s totally authentic and a breath of fresh air
And her analysis is good. Here she’s saying everyone is talking about the Celtics and their 3 point shooting when they should be talking about the Knicks D showing up big time in critical moments

Loved this whole sequence! Yes, ALL the talk is about the Celtics, but I’m glad Monica keeps telling everyone: give the Knicks some credit!

Mitch is a key, sure, but the switching too.

So in the end Tatum was looking for another three? Fitting

Final play of the game, Mitch and OG adjusted off the Horford screen. Instead of pressing the ball they glued behind Horford letting Tatum choose his defender instead of making MitchBeast pick up a full speed Tatum in transition. Tatum chooses Robinson who plays off him with his height and pushes him to the opposite side of the court into OG. OG picks him up and guards him well, but Tatum misses Bridges behind him who, has both the athleticism and length to block Tatum from above him. Game over.
In game switch from one play to the next to guard a play that Tatum abused them on 6 seconds earlier. I’ll credit Thibs for the adjustment. Pinning to Horford was a coached play.
Absolutely love seeing Mitch get his flowers.
