Knicks · Game #3 Thread (5/10 330pm ESPN): Boston is a 5.5 point favorite for game 3 right now (page 22)

Mitch got start making his free throws at least 60 percent that’s. If the Knicks are down 6 to 8 points and Mitch gets fouled misses free throws then they hit 2 threes and down 14 because I will break something in my house. I can’t take this miss free throw nonsense it will be worse if he in final seconds gets fouled down by 1 point and misses both free throws. At some point Mitch has to take responsibility for this bad free throw shooting he really does.

He has been in the league forever. He has not improved a single thing in his game. Still brings the ball down low after he gets it, still is atrocious at the line, still not a single post move, no jumper, no hook, no bank shot, nothing. He is not improving his free throws at this point

I definitely agree with you that Mitch has bad offensive game obviously that is not going to change right now but his free throw shooting has to or might get traded if the knicks lose this series.

I thought as a group we didn’t bring any intensity to disrupt the flow of the game … we have to get our wing stop going offensively early. It’s been a lot of iso we are best when we move the ball around . If we want to win, we need OG to contribute and be apart of the offensive flow.

Same for bridges

If these guys have complete games we are very hard to beat. As they usually always compete defensively.

We will wing game 4!!

For the wingstop wings? I’m a blue cheese fan, and I gotta have a lager with it

Give La Peral blue cheese a try. Very creamy and a little sharp. Had it recently when I ate dinner across from Mazzulla, Cassel and the Celtics co-owners during the Orlando-Boston series.

If we were switching there is no fighting over the screen it’s a simple player hand-off / exchange.

Because if you fight over a screen Porzingis would flop like the Trump stock market.

Point is - if you see Knick defender going over the top that = we are in drop coverage.

If we were switching on ball defender would just stop on screen.

I'm saying if you see on ball defender go over top on screen and Kat dropping -- that's not Kat that is a drop call by coach.

Kind of true isn't it.

Why though - given we have 3 really good role players playing 2-4?

System? PG who is really a scorer 1st and 2nd?

Or maybe collectively we just don't have the ball handlers and passers who can get shots on their own -- this may be real reason.

I hope you gave Cassell your best stink eye.

I was trying to think of examples - she's definitely on ANY list.

He was going to get traded before this series - even with his crappy FTs he may keeping himself on team with his recent play.

YES - we were not forceful defensively early -- kind of passive and game was gone.

That’s it for me.

Oh wait, your ball handling point too

Fascinating.

So um it's safe to say Boston covered the spread, eh?

For whatever reason we are underutilizing both Kat and Mikal -- not enough easy shots for Kat and not enough initiation (or high screen) touches for Mikal. When Jalen is in everything kind of runs thru that lens and we hope he's great.
